Computer implemented method for generating a hash value (110) is disclosed, the method comprises the following steps: i) Providing a first digital RGB image (112) having first RGB colors of a physical object (114); ii) Combining first transaction data (116) and the first digital RGB image (112), thereby generating a second RGB image (118) having second RGB colors; iii) Converting (128) color values of the second RGB image (118) from RGB color space (130) to a secondary color space (132) having at least four primary colors and determining (134) a number of respectively colored pixels for each primary color of the secondary color space (132); iv) Generating (136) the hash value (110) by converting the determined number of respectively colored pixels for each primary color of the secondary color space (132) to hexadecimal numerals.

CONTROL OF COLORANTS AND TREATMENTS FOR PRINTING

Certain examples described herein relate to the control of colorants and treatments for printing. In certain examples image data, a colorant color mapping and one or more treatment color mappings is obtained. The colorant color mapping may be used to map the image data to colorant application values. The one or more treatment color mappings may be used to map the image data to treatment application values. The colorant application values and treatment application values may be used to generate discrete print control instructions to apply the set of colorants and set of treatments to a printing substrate.

Methods and apparatus for using wide area networks to support parking systems

A customer premises parking system including one or more cameras and wireless communications transmission capability is described. The presence of a vehicle with a license plate at an entrance or exit of a parking area is detected and one or more high resolution images are captured and time stamped. A license plate portion of the HD image is captured and stored. The license plate number and corresponding time is determined and communicated using a wide area wireless network. The HD license plate portion of the image is processed to produce a low resolution version of the license plate image which is segmented and processed into fragments which are transmitted via the wide area network using available transmission opportunities. A high resolution version of the license plate portion is stored at the premises where the parking facilitate is located and can be retrieved via a cellular wireless interface in the event of a dispute or discrepancy with regard to the detected and reported license plate number. From the time stamps associated with entrance and exit images of license plates the amount of time and/or date at which a vehicle was present at the parking garage is determined and the vehicle owner billed for the use of the parking facility.

A color conversion correction data generation device includes circuitry that acquires first chromaticity values obtained from conversion target image data and second chromaticity values of sample image data, the conversion target image data being image data to be subjected to color conversion, the sample image data being obtained by reading a printed sample; curve-fits chromaticity value correspondence data to generate color conversion correction data, the chromaticity value correspondence data being data in which the acquired first chromaticity values and the acquired second chromaticity values are associated with each other; and outputs the color conversion correction data for correcting image data obtained by subjecting the conversion target image data to the color conversion.

Method and apparatus for converting image data, and storage medium

Disclosed is a method for converting image data. The method includes: acquiring image data of a target image, wherein the image data includes first pixel values of m pixels in the target image, each of the first pixel values includes a first color value of at least one color channel, the first color value being within a target color value interval of the at least one color channel; dividing the target color value interval into n color value partitions; determining a color value partition where the first color value falls from the n color value partitions; and converting the first color value into a second color value according to a position of the first color value in the color value partition, the number of bits occupied by the second color value being less than the number of bits occupied by the first color value.

Apparatus and method for document recognition

An apparatus for document recognition according to an embodiment includes a document type analyzer that analyzes a type of a recognition target document based on document feature vector extracted from one or more partial images obtained by color space conversion of one or more partial regions of the recognition target document, and an information extractor that extracts value information from one or more information search images organized in a grid form based on a position of key information of the recognition target document.

Adaptive color transformation to aid computer vision

System and techniques for adaptive color transformation to aid computer vision are described herein. Colors from an image are mapped into a multi-dimensional space to create a distribution of colors in the image. A line can be fit to the distribution. Here, the line includes an angle relative to a coordinate system of the multi-dimensional space. A transformation to colors can then be applied to the image based on the angle of the line. The transformation producing a reduced image where a color complexity of the original image is reduced.
