METHOD OF TRANSFORMING COLOR SPACES, A PRINTING MACHINE AND A MEMORY MEDIUM CONTAINING CODE FOR PERFORMING THE METHOD
A method transforms color values of a first device-dependent color space into the color values of a second device-dependent color space so that the visual impression of the color represented in the two-color spaces is essentially identical. The transformation of the color values combines at least one absolute rendering intent and at least one relative rendering intent.
Color Correction in Printing Systems
A method is described in which a first color is detected at a user-selected arbitrary position of a first print; a second color is detected at a user-selected arbitrary position of a second print printed by a printer; a color difference between the first color and the second color is determined; and settings of the printer are changed to reduce the color difference in further prints printed by the printer.
COLOR TABLE COMPRESSION
In some examples, a print cartridge includes a memory device comprising quantized coefficients derived from a lossy compression, at a selected step size, of a difference color table including a plurality of difference nodes in which each difference node represents a difference value that is a difference of a value of a node of a color table and a value of a corresponding node of a reference table, the quantized coefficients useable to produce a reconstructed difference color table including a first set of difference nodes each representing a difference value that is within an error threshold at the selected step size, and a second set of difference nodes each representing a difference value that is outside an error threshold at the selected step size. The memory device further comprises corrective information to correct the second set of difference nodes of the reconstructed difference color table.

The system includes an electronic imaging device configured to receive a target image data of the target coating. The target image data includes target coating features. The system further includes one or more feature extraction algorithms that extracts the target image features from the target image data. The system further includes a machine-learning model that identifies a calculated match sample image from a plurality of sample images utilizing the target image features. The machine-learning model includes pre-specified matching criteria representing the plurality of sample images for identifying the calculated match sample image from the plurality of sample images. The calculated match sample image is utilized for matching color and appearance of the target coating.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, PROGRAM, AND IMAGE PROJECTION METHOD
An image processing apparatus generates, from a mixed image of projection images projected from a plurality of projection devices, separated images for respective pieces of color information, on the basis of a color model. For the color model, the pieces of color information of the projection images changed according to spectral characteristics of the projection devices and an image pickup device for acquiring the captured image and an attenuation coefficient are used as parameters, and a color separation processing section generates the separated images for the respective pieces of color information on the basis of the color model, by using parameters that minimize the difference between the color information of the captured image and color information estimated by the color model. The image processing apparatus becomes able to accurately separate projection images from the captured image of the mixed image including a plurality of projection images.
Matching color and appearance of target coatings based on image entropy
Processor implemented systems and methods for matching color and appearance of a target coating are provided herein. A system includes a storage device for storing instructions, and one or more data processors. The data processor(s) are configured to execute instructions to receive a target image of a target coating. The data processor(s) are also configured to apply a feature extraction analysis process that divides the target image into a plurality of target pixels for image analysis.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
Provided are a device and a method for executing gain calculation processing and gain adjustment processing for matching an output of an imaging element of a multispectral camera with an output of a reference machine. As the gain calculation processing for matching an output of an adjustment camera with an output of a reference camera at the time of manufacturing the multispectral camera, a band-corresponding gain is calculated that matches the output of the adjustment camera with the output of the reference camera, on the basis of: a reference machine band-corresponding pixel value that is a pixel value within a specific band acquired on the basis of an output value of an imaging element of the reference camera; and an adjustment machine band-corresponding pixel value that is a pixel value within a specific band acquired on the basis of an output value of an imaging element of the adjustment camera. Furthermore, at the time of using the camera, output value adjustment processing that matches the output of the imaging element with the output of the reference machine is executed, by acquiring the band-corresponding gain from a memory, and multiplying the output of the imaging element by the acquired band-corresponding gain.
Enhancing pigmentation in dermoscopy images
Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for modifying images of skin so as to reduce or enhance the appearance of component pigments, such as melanin and hemoglobin. A diffuse reflectance image of skin, such as a cross-polarized contact dermoscopy image, which conveys information regarding subsurface features of the skin, is processed so as to extract pigment distribution information, which is then used to correct the diffuse reflectance image, such as by reducing the appearance of melanin to allow better visualization of hemoglobin-related structures, such as vasculature. Alternatively, the diffuse reflectance image can be corrected so as to reduce the appearance of hemoglobin to allow better visualization of melanin-related structures.
