COLOR CORRECTION OF AN IMAGE
A method for color correction of an image includes generating a plurality of gain modules for an image scanning device, where each gain module of the plurality of gain modules includes a ratio of a maximum light intensity and a scanned white intensity. The method may further include generating a plurality of color correction modules, wherein each color correction module is associated with a respective gain module. Responsive to receipt of instructions to perform a scan of a document, the method may include identifying a color correction module of the plurality of color correction modules to apply and applying the identified color correction module to an image of the scanned document.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus for converting color data into gray data extracts an object included in the color data in a page, and determines, based on color information and position information on a first object and a second object extracted, whether at least one of the first object and the second object is to be a target of conversion of a color value of the color data into a gray value with improved discriminability. The image processing apparatus controls to convert the color value of the object into a gray value by a conversion targeting all color values, or into a gray value with the improved discriminability, based on the determination whether or not to be the target of conversion.
APPARATUS, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING IMAGE, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An apparatus for processing an image, includes circuitry configured to: input a first image indicating a target color; input a second image formed by an image forming device to be subjected to adjustment; determine types of objects; and compare the first image and the second image and generate, for each of the types of the objects, a color conversion parameter, based on a correspondence between a chromaticity value in the first image and a chromaticity value in the second image.
Processes for printing spot colors
The present disclosure relates to a process for printing comprising the steps of selecting eight or fewer process colors from a known process ink color set, providing a color channel for the selected process colors from the known process ink color set, providing two or more spot color channels, wherein one or more of spot colors correspond to a non-selected process color of the process ink color set, applying a first ink limit and a first linearization to the one or more spot color channels to produce a color set including the non-selected process color of the known process ink color set, applying a second ink limit and a second linearization to the one or more spot color channels to produce a color set including the spot color, and optionally printing an image.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS SELECTIVELY APPLYING ECO MODE
An operating method of an image forming apparatus includes: receiving an input to select a selective eco mode which selectively applies an eco mode during an image forming job of a document; obtaining at least one area to be excluded from application of the eco mode from a preview of the document according to execution of the selective eco mode; generating a mask in which an area corresponding to at least one area of the document is set in an array corresponding to a preview image of the document, based on information about the at least one area of the document; and outputting the document to which the selective eco mode is applied based on the mask.
Characteristics based operation of image forming apparatus
An example image forming apparatus includes a communicator to receive print data, an image forming unit, and a processor to control the image forming unit to perform image processing on the received print data and control the image forming unit to print the image-processed print data. When the received print data is not a scan file, the image processing is performed at a first level and when the received print data is a scan file, the image processing is performed at a second level, the second level being higher than the first level.
PRINT CONTROL BASED ON THE DIFFERENCE IN THE RESIDUAL QUANTITY RATIO OF TONERS
An example image forming apparatus includes a print engine to form an image by using toners of different colors, a memory to store toner quantity information of the different colors of toners, and a processor to perform a print job by reducing a use of a toner with a small toner residual quantity ratio when a difference in a residual quantity ratio of the toner for each color is greater than or equal to a determined value on the basis of the stored toner quantity information.
Apparatus, method, and computer program for image conversion
An apparatus for image conversion includes a processor configured to classify a reference region representing a predetermined feature into a shadowed region and an unshadowed region, the reference region being in an aerial image represented in RGB color space; determine a tone correction factor so that a difference between an average luminance of the shadowed region and an average luminance of the unshadowed region in the aerial image represented in predetermined color space to which the color space of the aerial image is converted from RGB color space is less than a difference between an average luminance of the shadowed region and an average luminance of the unshadowed region represented in RGB color space; correct tones of the aerial image with the tone correction factor; and convert the color space of the aerial image from RGB color space to the predetermined color space to generate a color conversion image.
Image processing device, control method, and non-transitory recording medium
An image processing device includes an image reader that reads an image, a first determiner that determines whether character crushing occurs when the image is binarized, a second determiner that determines a rate of a photographic region in the image, and a controller that performs conversion into monochrome N-gradation image data based on determination results of the first and second determiners.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: obtain plural images each including any of plural objects; and output report information that is information generated based on an analysis result regarding the plural objects in the plural images, and that is information for reporting according to which of two or more objects, among the plural objects, included in an image the image is to be corrected.
