Methods, systems, and media for providing dynamic media sessions with audio stream expansion features are provided. In some embodiments, the methods include: receiving an indication that audio content associated with a video content item is to be presented by a follower device synchronously with the audio content presented by the leader device; identifying candidate follower devices by determining whether devices connected to a local area network are capable of being designated as a follower device; causing a user interface to be presented that indicates each candidate follower device; receiving, via the user interface, a selection of one of the candidate follower devices; and transmitting, from the leader to the selected follower device, control instructions that cause the audio content associated with the video content item to be presented synchronously by the selected follower device with the video content item presented by the leader device.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, receiving first data from each media publishing system of a plurality of media publishing systems which facilitate a presentation of media content with one or more procurable media content slots, where the first data from each media publishing system have incompatible data structures; mapping the first data from each media publishing system to second data which has a common data structure; receiving a target description from a media procurement system, the target description including information to procure media content slots provided by one or more of the plurality of media publishing systems; comparing the target description to the second data in the common data format; identifying from the comparing at least one procurable media content slot provided by one or more media publishing systems that correlates to the target description; receiving first viewership data associated with viewership of media content presentations that include the at least one procurable media content slot; generating according to the first viewership data an estimated viewership size associated with the viewership of media content presentations that include the at least one procurable media content slot; and providing, by the processing system, the estimated viewership size to the media procurement system. Methods and systems of providing alternative advert (AA) query items for an AA system are disclosed. A request is received to generate an AA query. In response to the request, it is determined whether a percentage of scoreable AA query items for which a viewer has a known or derived preference exceeds a threshold value. Each scoreable AA query item has an assigned equity score and an assigned viewer-item affinity score. In response to determining that the percentage of scoreable AA query items exceeds the threshold value, one or more first AA query types are determined to create for the viewer. The requested AA query is sent. A response to the sent AA query is received. Equity scores and viewer-item affinity scores of total scoreable AA query items are updated based on the response.

An exciting moment notification method includes first defining in a table in memory of a computer, an exciting moment occurring during a live event, such as a card game, awards program or a sporting event, and then annotating a multiplicity of images of different instances of the live event with the exciting moment. The method further includes video streaming a live instance of the live event over a computer communications network and matching a frame of the video streamed live instance in the memory of the computer to an annotated one of the multiplicity of images. Finally, the method includes transmitting a message to at least one subscriber of the instance of the live event indicating an occurrence of the exciting moment.
