SCREEN PROJECTION CONTROL METHOD, STORAGE MEDIUM AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
A screen projection control method, storage medium and communication apparatus are provided. The screen projection control method includes: a screen projection receiving end receiving screen projection request information from a first screen projection sending end; determining, according to the screen projection request information, whether a third screen projection sending end that has triggered an interference-free mode of screen projection exists in at least one second screen projection sending end that is performing screen projection, wherein enabling the interference-free mode comprises stopping accepting a screen projection request; and if the third screen projection sending end that has enabled the screen projection interference-free mode exists, the screen projection receiving end sending response information for refusing the screen projection request to the first screen projection sending end.
Dynamic adjustment of electronic program guide displays based on viewer preferences for minimizing navigation in VOD program selection
Items of video content offered for viewing on a video-on-demand (VOD) platform of a digital TV service provider are each assigned a respective title and hierarchical address corresponding to hierarchically-arranged categories and subcategories within which the title for the video content is to be categorized. The title is listed in a location of an electronic program guide (EPG) using the same categories and subcategories as its hierarchical address. Any TV subscriber can access the EPG and navigate through its categories and subcategories to find a title for viewing on the TV. The EPG dynamically adjust its display listings of each level of categories, subcategories, and titles in order to minimize the number of remote control keypresses needed for a viewer to navigate to a title of interest. In one basic form, the EPG display is reordered by listing more frequently visited categories or subcategories first, and other less frequently visited categories or subcategories lower on the listing or out-of-sight on another page of the display.
ENABLING MEDIA FEATURES PROVIDED ON A FIRST SCREEN DEVICE TO BE PRESENTED ON A SECOND SCREEN DEVICE
A first screen device establishes a pairing session between a first screen device and a second screen device. The first screen device presents, in a user interface on the first screen device, a video and one or more media features related to the video. The media features pertain to at least one of a presentation of the video or user feedback about the video. The video is cast from the first screen device onto the second screen device. The first screen device receives, via the user interface, user input indicating a user request to enable presentation of at least one of the media features on the second screen device in connection with the video. In response to the user input, the first screen device causes the at least one of the media features to be presented on the second screen device in connection with the video.
TELEPRESENCE THROUGH OTA VR BROADCAST STREAMS
Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. Telepresence is provided through over-the-air (OTA) virtual reality (VR) broadcast streams.
Display device and controlling method of display device
A display device and a method capable of rotating a display based on a type of a user command are provided. The display device according to the disclosure receives a user command while first content is displayed on the display, the display being configured to operate in a first orientation while displaying the first content, maintains the display to operate in the first orientation when the received user command is a command to control a feature corresponding to the first content, determines, based on a type of a second content, to control the display to operate in the first orientation or a second orientation different from the first orientation when the received user command is a command to display the second content on the display, and controls the motor to rotate the display based on the determined first orientation or the second orientation.
Media Appliance and Method for Use of Same
A media appliance and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a housing is adapted to be mounted within a wall. A panel forms a front portion of the housing and the panel includes vents and the panel may be mounted substantially flush with the wall. A media player, which includes a set-top box, is disposed within the housing. A pair of ports, disposed within openings defined by the housing, are configured to receive respective connectors. The pair of ports are coupled to the media player and one port is configured for providing a connection to a television and the other port is configured for providing a connection to an external source of signal for the television, as well as power for the media player.
TRANSFER CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND MIXED-REALITY PRESENTATION APPARATUS
A transfer control apparatus transfers video data obtained by image capturing in an image capturing and displaying apparatus to an image processing apparatus, and transfers video data generated by the image processing apparatus to the image capturing and displaying apparatus. In the transfer control apparatus, a first converter outputs an optical signal converted from an electrical signal representing the video data, an optical fiber transfers the optical signal, a second converter outputs an electrical signal converted from the optical signal transferred by the optical fiber, and a metal wire transfers a control signal indicating whether it is possible to communicate the video data by a communication unit of the image capturing and displaying apparatus. Operations of the first and second converters are controlled based on the control signal.
System and Method for Managing and/or Rendering Internet Multimedia Content in a Network
A system and a method render internet multimedia content in a network using an application to render the internet multimedia content and/or locally stored multimedia content on one or more rendering devices in the network. The application may provide web browser functions, such as, for example, receiving, processing, decoding and/or rendering the internet multimedia content. The application may have an enhanced user interface which may enable a user to select the internet multimedia content and a rendering device in the network, send the internet multimedia content to the rendering device and/or control rendering of the internet multimedia content on the rendering device.
Projection system and projection method
A projection system and a projection method are provided. The projection system includes a projection device, a streaming device, and a control device. The projection device includes a first image input port and a second image input port. The streaming device is electrically connected to the first image input port of the projection device and is coupled to the projection device in a detachable manner. The control device is communicatively connected to the streaming device. The control device transmits a first command signal to the streaming device, so that the projection device projects image data from the streaming device.
