Set-top box with enhanced controls
A set-top box with enhanced content and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a wireless transceiver is located within a housing, which also interconnectively includes a television input, television output, a processor, and memory. The set-top box may establish a pairing with a proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device having a display. Content, such music, for example, may be imported from the proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device and provided to the television. While the music is playing, the set-top box may generate and provide to the television a control signal that includes instructions to adjust the brightness of the television by dimming the television.
Grid system and method for remote control
A remote control system and related method for controlling a video device are presented. The remote control system contains a plurality of buttons arranged in a grid pattern that correspond to user selectable options displayed on a display screen arranged in the same grid pattern. The user selects options on the screen by pressing the corresponding button on the remote control.
VIDEO DATA PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS, COMPUTER DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
This application discloses a video data processing method and apparatus and a storage medium. The method includes: displaying a video playing interface corresponding to video data, and recognizing an operation gesture corresponding to a slide operation, determining, according to the slide operation, whether the operation gesture belongs to a first gesture type, in response to determining that the operation gesture belongs to the first gesture type, obtaining a start trigger position and an end trigger position of the slide operation from a slide trajectory of the slide operation, and determining, based on the start and end trigger positions, a slide direction indicated by the slide trajectory, adjusting, based on the slide direction and a progress control direction of a progress bar in the video playing interface, the playing progress of the video data by the preset progress duration, and displaying, on the video playing interface, playing-progress-adjusted video data.
HANDHELD ELECTRONIC DEVICES WITH REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONALITY AND GESTURE RECOGNITION
Handheld electronic devices are provided that have remote control functionality and gesture recognition features. The handheld electronic device may have remote control functionality in addition to cellular telephone, music player, or handheld computer functionality. The handheld electronic devices may have a touch sensitive display screen. The handheld electronic devices may recognize gestures performed by a user on the touch sensitive display screen. The handheld electronic devices may generate remote control signals from gestures that the handheld electronic device may recognize. A media system may receive the remote control signals and may take appropriate action. The touch sensitive display screen may be used to present the user with information about the media system such as the current volume.
Touch-Sensitive Remote Control with Visual Feedback
An audio/video (A/V) hub provides feedback to a user of a portable electronic device with a touch-sensitive display (such as a cellular telephone) that is used as a wireless remote control for an audio/video (A/V) display device, the A/V hub and/or a consumer-electronic device. In particular, when the A/V hub receives, from the portable electronic device, user-interface activity information associated with a user interface displayed on a touch-sensitive display, the A/V hub generates visual feedback based on the user-interface activity information. Then, the A/V hub provides the visual feedback to the A/V display device for display on the A/V display device. The visual feedback indicates a position of at least a touch contact point of a user of the portable electronic device relative to a strike area of at least a virtual command icon in the user interface.
VIDEO PLAYING METHOD AND APPARATUS
Embodiments of this disclosure provide a method relating to video playing in mobile phone. The method includes: while displaying a first video in a first user interface of a first application, detecting an event for displaying a second user interface of a second application; if the second application has a higher display priority than the first application and playback of the first video is in active progress, replacing display of the first user interface of the first application with display of the second user interface of the second application on the display; generating a hover box to overlay a portion of the second user interface of the second application on the display; and continuing the playback of the first video in the hover box overlaid on the portion of the second user interface of the second application such that both the first application and the second application are performed simultaneously.
DISPLAY APPARATUS, DISPLAY METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
Videos are to be displayed in parallel, without missing information or a decrease in efficiency in the usable display region.
The aspect ratio of the large screen of an information processing apparatus 100 is 16:9, which is compatible with a Hi-Vision video. In a case where the large screen is used in a portrait layout, if the large screen is divided into three small screens in the vertical direction, the aspect ratio of the small screens after the dividing is 9:16/3=16:9.48. With respect to the original video content at 16:9, the ratio in inches is 9/16=56.25% (the area ratio is (9/16).sup.2=31.64%). Accordingly, the usable display region can be efficiently used.
ENDOSCOPE IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS, ENDOSCOPE IMAGE DISPLAY METHOD AND ENDOSCOPE IMAGE DISPLAY PROGRAM
An endoscope apparatus includes a display section with a touch panel having a left image display region and a right image display region and a control section. The control section is configured to perform display control so as to change, upon receiving a drag operation instruction while the left image display region selected, a position of a cursor displayed in the left image display region and the right image display region by an amount of variation da, and change, upon receiving a drag operation instruction while the right image display region selected, the position of the cursor displayed in the left image display region and right image display region by an amount of variation db.
Method and apparatus for peripheral context management
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for presenting a set of control functions via an interface of a peripheral control device (PCD). A control function can include a command associated with one or more media contexts of a host media device. The method decodes a payload, from the host media device, with an encoded context identifier, where the context identifier indicates a primary media context active on the host media device. The method determines one or more control functions corresponding to the context identifier, and changes the set of control functions on the interface of the PCD to include the one or more control functions that can command the primary media context.
Input device and user interface interactions
In some embodiments, a device displays functionality information in response to receiving an indication of a first input for which a contact meets functionality display criteria. In some embodiments, a device generates a user interface that includes a navigation bar including images from different positions in a respective content item, and a representation of an adjacent content item. In some embodiments, a device moves a selection-indicator in a user interface by a predefined amount in response to receiving an indication of a first input that meets unitary movement criteria. In some embodiments, a device interprets movement of a contact of an input based at least in part on a grip of a user. In some embodiments, a device displays a plurality of character selection options when a text entry field is not tolerant of character ambiguity and a first input corresponds to a plurality of candidate characters.
