A document management facility may process volumes of physical documents for digital imaging. The document management facility may utilize robotic apparatus to perform the various functions for processing the documents, which may include document intake, document storage, document digitization, and/or document removal. Digital versions of the documents may be accessed with a document management system.

A method and system for electronically annotating an image, or preferably, specific portions of an image, with information. In one aspect, a user may generate an image, annotate the image, and upload or otherwise disseminate the annotated image to a web page or the like. Annotations are provided as labels that provide information about the image or items therein. Further users may access the labels to access the information. The labels further enable searching and contextual advertising.

An image recording apparatus includes an image capturing unit configured to capture an image of a subject, a recording unit configured to record one of still image data and video image data captured by the image capturing unit on a storage medium in the form of an image file, a generating unit configured to generate a management file used for managing the image file recorded on the storage medium, and a registering unit configured to register an identifier of the image file recorded on the storage medium in the management file on a capture date basis in the order of capture time.

An apparatus and a method for providing emotional information in an electronic device are provided. At least one content is displayed. Emotional information is extracted from an image obtained via a camera. The emotional information is added to the content.

An object of the present disclosure is to reduce the load of a user in a case where multiplexed information is embedded in an image. One embodiment of the present invention is an image processing apparatus having: a recognition unit configured to recognize an object within an image; a selection unit configured to select additional information corresponding to an object recognized by the recognition unit from among additional information stored in a storage unit; and a layout unit configured to lay out the additional information so that at least a part of an area in which additional information selected by the selection unit is embedded overlaps an area of an object recognized by the recognition unit.

A method and apparatus for measuring perceptible properties of media content. The method comprises displaying media content comprising a plurality of perceptible properties; receiving a selection of an perceptible property from the plurality of perceptible properties; receiving at least one comment related to the selected perceptible property in the plurality of perceptible properties; and calculating a measurement of an overall quality of the media content based on the received at least one comment.

Police officers are provided with client devices capable of capturing multimedia and streaming multimedia. The client devices can upload captured multimedia to a central server or share streams in real time. A network operation center can review the multimedia in real time or afterwards. Situational awareness is the provision of multimedia to a police officer as that officer approaches the location of an incident. The multimedia may be real time streams as the officer responds to a particular location, or the multimedia may be historical files as the officer familiarizes himself with incidents as he patrols a new neighborhood. Since the client device also reports real time reporting patterns, police officers can review high resolution and fidelity patrolling and incident reports to analyze the efficacy of patrol coverage. Since the client device may run supplementary applications, example applications are disclosed.

A display method, a display device, a terminal device, and a storage medium are provided. The display method includes: extracting a file attribute of a file to be displayed; automatically setting, according to the file attribute of the file to be displayed, a pixel density of a display screen for displaying the file by searching the pixel density corresponding to the file attribute of the file from a pre-stored pixel density model; and displaying the file according to the pixel density.

A method and system for creating a printing plate from a vector format image file having image and non-image areas. A boundary in vector coordinates is identified via a user interface that defines each image area corresponding to an image patch. The image file is raster image processed (RIPped) to create RIPped image information associated with the vector coordinates corresponding to the image patches. The RIPped image information and associated vector coordinates are processed to create RIPped image patches, register marks attached to each RIPped image patch, and the RIPped image patches with register marks and corresponding vector coordinates stored in a processing file. The system includes a computer memory, an interface for providing the image file, a user interface, and a computer processor configured to perform the method.
