Precision timing for broadcast network
09838571 · 2017-12-05 · ·

The present aspects relate to techniques of timing synchronization of audio and video (AV) data in a network. In particular, the techniques for a AV master to distribute AV data encoded with one or more time markers to a plurality of processing nodes. The one or more time markers may be indexed to a precision time protocol (PTP) time stamp used as a time reference. In one technique, the nodes extract the time markers to determine an offset value that is applied to a PLL to synchronize AV data packets at a distribution node or a processing node. In another technique the distribution node or the processing node determines the worst case path, which corresponds to a system offset value. The distribution node then reports the system offset value to the AV master, which in turn adjusts the phase based on the report.

Method and device for transmitting high-definition video signal

Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a method and device for transmitting a high-definition video signal, comprising: isolating from the high-definition video signal a brightness signal and a chrominance signal, and, by using an analog signal transmission mode, using non-overlapping frequency hands to transmit respectively the brightness signal and the chrominance signal. The solution of the present invention employs the analog signal transmission method, utilizes independent frequency bands to transmit respectively the brightness signal and the chrominance signal, and ensures that the brightness signal and the chrominance signal do not affect each other, thus ensuring video quality and timeliness of the high-definition video signal when transmitted over a long distance.

A method in control equipment for synchronizing audio and video acquires an identifier of playback equipment. Information as to audio and video formats for the playback equipment is acquired playback and a first time delay data corresponding to the audio data and video data from the cloud server is set according to the identifier, the audio format information and the video format information. A first delay time between the audio data and video data according to the first time delay data acquired from the cloud server is set for the implementation of audio and video synchronization.

Audio/visual device and control method thereof

An AV device including a first signal transmitter configured to output a video signal and a first audio signal corresponding to the video signal to a display device; a first signal receiver configured to receive a feedback signal of the first audio signal from the display device; a second signal transmitter configured to output a second audio signal corresponding to the video signal; and a controller configured to determine a processing delay time of the display device by comparing the first audio signal and the feedback signal, and control the second signal transmitter to delay the output of the second audio signal based on the determined processing delay time.

A system which synchronizes audio and video, that uses a sensor sensing the display of video and audio from an external device. The sensor creates timestamps for each of the video and audio, and then calculates a difference between those timestamps. The differences sent to the external device which then compensates for the difference.

Dynamic delay equalization for media transport

Systems and methods of the present disclosure provide for dynamic delay equalization of related media signals in a media transport system. Methods include receiving a plurality of related media signals, transporting the related media signals along different media paths, calculating uncorrected propagation delays for the media paths, and delaying each of the related media signals by an amount related to the difference between the longest propagation delay (of the uncorrected propagation delays) and the uncorrected propagation delay of the related media signal/media path. Calculating the uncorrected propagation delays and delaying the related media signals may be performed in response to a change to the propagation delay of at least one of the related media signals/media paths. Additionally or alternatively, calculating the uncorrected propagation delays and delaying the related media signals may be performed while transporting the related media signals.

Frame rate conversion
11025858 · 2021-06-01 · ·

The disclosed method includes accessing video content encoded at a specified frame rate, and determining a refresh rate for an electronic display on which the video content is to be presented. The method next includes specifying a time interval for the video content over which frame rate conversion is to be applied to synchronize the video content frame rate with the electronic display refresh rate. The method also includes presenting the video content on the electronic display where the playback speed is adjusted for a first part of the interval. At this adjusted speed, the interval is played back using original video frames and multiple frame duplications. The presenting also adjusts playback speed of a second part of the interval. At the adjusted speed, the interval is played back using the original frames and a different number of frame duplications. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
