Apparatus and Method for Recording Data Associated with a Vehicle
The present invention provides to a recording apparatus and method for recording data, in particular video data associated with a vehicle. Video data are only recorded, as long as a predefined trigger event is true. Upon detecting such a trigger event, the trigger event is further analyzed and the recording of the video data is immediately stopped when it is detected that the trigger event is no longer valid. In this way, the recording of the video data can be limited for reducing the amount of video data to be stored. According to further embodiments, the amount of video data to be recorded can be further minimized by adapting the video frame rate, the resolution, and compression rate or color format of the video data.
RECORDING MEDIUM, PLAYBACK METHOD, AND PLAYBACK DEVICE
A recording medium includes a video stream of a standard-luminance range and a video stream of high-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with a playback environment. The recording medium also includes a subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range and a subtitle stream of the high-luminance range, which are used selectively in accordance with the playback environment. A playlist file includes a management region where playback control information relating to a main stream is stored, and includes an extended region. The management region stores first playback control information specifying playing of the video stream of the high-luminance range and the subtitle stream of the high-luminance range in combination. The extended region stores second playback control information specifying playing of the video stream of the standard-luminance range and the subtitle stream of the standard-luminance range in combination.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD
A scene descriptive file describing a scene of 3D object content is generated, in the scene descriptive file, timed metadata identification information indicating that metadata of an associated external file changes in a time direction being stored in an MPEG_media extension, and timed metadata access information associating a camera object with the metadata being stored in the camera object. Furthermore, timed metadata that changes in the time direction is acquired on the basis of the timed metadata identification information and the timed metadata access information stored in the scene descriptive file, and a display image of the 3D object content is generated on the basis of the acquired timed metadata. The present disclosure is applicable to, for example, an information processing device, an information processing method, or the like.
CONSTRAINTS ON PICTURE OUTPUT ORDERING IN A VIDEO BITSTREAM
Methods, systems, and devices for picture output ordering constraints in video bitstreams are described. An example method of video processing includes performing a conversion between a video including one or more pictures and a bitstream of the video according to a rule, wherein the rule specifies that the bitstream includes at least a first picture that is output, wherein the first picture is in an output layer, wherein the first picture includes a syntax element equaling one, and wherein the syntax element affects a decoded picture output and a removal process associated with a hypothetical reference decoder (HRD).
Randomly accessible visual information recording medium and recording method, and reproducing device and reproducing method
Access point pictures designated as randomly accessible positions are I pictures or P pictures. Information indicating the decoding sequence (I1, P1, B1, B2, B3, B4, P2, . . . ) of pictures functioning as access points and attribute information (picture_type) indicating whether a picture functions as an access point or is necessary for decoding of the access point following a given access point are recorded on the video information recording medium. Random access is possible even if the GOP interval is lengthened.
NEIGHBOR BASED SIGNALING OF INTRA PREDICTION MODES
A device for coding video data is configured to determine that a current block of video data is coded using an intra prediction mode; add an intra prediction mode of a first neighboring block of the current block to a most probable mode candidate list for the current block; add an intra prediction mode for a second neighboring block of the current block to the most probable mode candidate list for the current block; add an intra prediction mode for a third neighboring block of the current block to the most probable mode candidate list for the current block; and code the current block of video data using an intra prediction mode.
Video camera with rate control video compression
Embodiments provide a video camera that can be configured to compress video data in a manner that achieves a targeted output size in a computationally efficient manner. The video compression systems and methods can be used with DCT-based compression standards to include a rate control aspect. The rate controlled video compression methods can be configured to compress video data in, real time and/or using a single pass. During compression of video data, the video compression systems and methods can modify compression parameters to achieve a targeted file size while maintaining relatively high visual quality of the compressed images.
Method for efficient processing of BTP enabled MPEG4 stream
A system is provided for providing a trickplay operation using a digital video recorder (DVR) when the video includes Broadcom Transport Packets (BTPs) designed for MPEG-2, but in an MPEG-4 video steam. In a first embodiment, to enable trickplay to function properly with MPEG-4 video, the BTP descriptors included with each group of data frames are disabled so that a single descriptor provided without BTPs that would otherwise be provided in MPEG-4 is all that remains. In a second embodiment, the 5 descriptors for MPEG-4 are combined into a single descriptor. In a third embodiment, the pace of decoding of the MPEG-4 descriptors is increased so that the speed of encoding all the 5 descriptors is comparable to the pace of decoding a single MPEG-2 descriptor.
RECORDING MEDIUM, PLAYBACK METHOD, AND PLAYBACK DEVICE
A playlist file for controlling playback of a VOB stream file is recorded in a recording medium. A CombiExt_for_Cell( ) and Combi( ) indicating combinations of elementary streams that each can be played at the same time in the same Cell are described in the playlist file. Elementary streams that can be played at the same time as SDR video are listed in the CombiExt_for_Cell( ), and elementary streams that can be played at the same time as HDR video are listed in Combi( ). The number of elementary streams of a predetermined type listed in CombiExt_for_Cell( ) and the number of elementary streams of the predetermined type listed in Combi( ) are each equal in the same Cell.
METHODS OF STORING MEDIA FILES AND RETURNING FILE DATA FOR MEDIA FILES AND MEDIA FILE SYSTEMS
A media file system, apparatus, computer program product and method for storing a media file in a media file system. An exemplary method includes obtaining a predetermined number of frames and determining a set of portions for storing the media file, each portion having an identifier that is indicative of a multiple of the predetermined number of frames. Further, for each portion of the set of portions, associating with the portion the segment of the media file containing the frame indicated by the identifier of the portion, and associating each of the remaining segments of the media file with a portion of the set of portions. Moreover, storing the media file in the media file system as the set of determined portions, each portion comprising its associated segments of the media file.
