NEXT GENERATION EMERGENCY CALL ROUTING OVER DIVERSE NETWORKS
Methods and systems for routing calls include determining media types within a received call for emergency services from a caller. Emergency service providers for the call are determined based on the determined media types. The call is routed to the emergency service providers, with different subsets of data within the call, corresponding to respective determined media types, being routed to different emergency service providers from the determined emergency service providers.
NEXT GENERATION EMERGENCY CALL ROUTING OVER DIVERSE NETWORKS
Methods and systems for routing calls include determining media types within a received call from a caller, the media types being selected from voice, location, text, photo, video, and data. Emergency service providers are identified for the received based on the determined media information contained in the received call. The call is routed to at least one of the identified emergency service providers.
Method and system for bandwidth constrained media streaming to a moving vehicle
A method and a system for receiving streaming media from an external provider onboard a moving vehicle via wireless communication is disclosed. The method includes: checking, upon a request from a client device to obtain a streaming media from said external provider, whether a segment of said streaming media is available in the cache or not; forwarding, when a segment of the requested streaming media is available in the cache, the segment of the streaming media object to the client device from the cache; downloading, when the segment of the requested streaming media is not available in the cache, the segment of the streaming media object from the external server, and forwarding the downloaded segment to the client device, and storing the segment in the cache.
Next generation emergency call routing over diverse networks
Methods and systems for routing calls include determining location information identifying a location of a caller. A destination for a call from the caller is determined based on the location information and a geographic service area of the destination. The call is routed to the destination.
Wireless communication system for moving vehicles
A method and system for wireless communication between a moving vehicle and a remote server through at least one external mobile network are disclosed. The at least one exterior mobile network provides at least two concurrently useable data links. The method includes: providing at least one router in the moving vehicle for receiving and transmitting wireless data communication to and from a stationary communication server outside the moving vehicle through the at least one exterior mobile network; evaluating the quality of the data links on a host layer by repeatedly sending requests arranged to trigger a determinable automated response to the stationary communication server via the data links, and measure the time until the triggered automated responses are received; and assigning data streams to the data links at least partly based on the evaluated quality.

MEMS-based switching system
A switching element that is at least partially implemented in one or more printed wiring boards (PWBs). A plurality of inputs and a plurality of outputs may be integrated into the PWB(s). In some embodiments, a plurality of contact bars may also be comprised in respective contact bar pockets bounded at least partially ab at least one of the PWB(s). The switching element is selectively operable in first and second states, the first state in which at least one contact bar couples one of the plurality of inputs to one of the plurality of outputs such that an analog signal input to the respective input is routed to the respective output and the second state in which at least one contact bar is held in an off state.
