System, User Equipment, Server, Computer Program Product and Method for Providing Access to Mobile Communication Services

The invention relates to a system, an user equipment and a method for providing access to mobile communication services, allowing a user to regularly access his/her mobile services and applications through an Internet connection, but pretending to use a regular mobile device. The invention is based on an alternative user equipment equipped with a subscriber identity module to which it is associated the same telephone number as a subscriber identity module that is equipping the user's main regular mobile device, so that the alternative user equipment can access at least one communication service that is also available to the main regular mobile device.

Enterprise toll-free call routing

Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for providing one or more toll-free services to a customer of an enterprise telecommunications network environment. In particular, the toll-free services may be provided to the customer by one or more application servers associated with the network. Through use of the systems and methods of the present disclosure, such services may be provided for the customer regardless of the method of routing through the network requested by the customer. For example, the toll-free communication may be transmitted through the network based on a destination telephone number associated with the customer. In another example, the toll-free communication is transmitted through the network based on a destination trunk group associated with the customer.

Terminal implementing a communication method, and server implementing a method for establishing a communication between two terminals

Methods and devices for establishing a communication between a first and a second terminal are described. The disclosed technology can be implemented in or by a server or a terminal in communication with the server. The first terminal can to the server, using a first calling identity, a request including connection information and an identifier of the first terminal. Using the identifier, the server can obtain from a database a pair of calling identities including one certified and one non-certified, the pair comprising the first calling identity and a second calling identity. The server can determine, from one of the calling identities and from the connection information, a connectivity mode of the terminal, and determine a routable number on which the terminal can send a communication to the server. The server can route the communication towards the second terminal by presenting a calling identity of the pair and sending the routable number to the first terminal.

A method, a device and a storage medium for processing a communication service in a circuit switch domain are provided. The method may include: judging, when a communication service being currently processed by a communication terminal is a voice call service or a short message service in a circuit switch domain, whether a switching condition for switching the communication service onto a real-time communication tool in a packet switch domain of the communication terminal is met; if it is met, switching the communication service onto the real-time communication tool in the packet switch domain of the communication terminal.

Universal point of contact identifier system and method

A subscriber to a universal point of contact service designates a preferred point of contact at which a communication initiator, such as a telephone caller, can contact the subscriber. Such an initiator desiring to contact the subscriber uses the subscriber's email address to establish a communication session with a device associated with the subscriber's preferred point of contact. The subscriber's email address is input to an initiating device, preferably a telephone or facsimile machine, using an entry device capable of entering an email address. A requestor unit, receiving the email address, locates a repository of the subscriber's point of contact information, and requests that information. The repository sends the point of contact information the subscriber has designated as preferred, and the requestor unit uses that information to control a telephone switch to establish a communication session between the initiating device and the subscriber's preferred point of contact device.

Individual telephone number assignment
10277735 · 2019-04-30 · ·

Systems and methods for individual telephone numbering assignment and administration in a telecommunications network are disclosed. Particularly, the invention relates to the concept of acquiring individual telephone numbers instead of acquiring a block of telephone numbers from an administration agency. According to disclosed embodiments, the system and method allow a carrier to request an individual telephone number from a numbering administrator. The numbering administrator verifies that the carrier is authorized to request an individual telephone in a particular geographic area. If the carrier is authorized, the numbering administrator obtains an individual telephone number from its database and provides it to the carrier. The carrier initiates an intra-carrier assignment with an administrative agency to get the individual telephone number assigned to it. The administrative agency processes the assignment activation request, and upon completion of the addignment process, notifies all carriers that the individual telephone number is assigned to the requesting carrier.

FACILITATING CROSS-REGIONAL ACCESS ACROSS NUMBER PORTABILITY ADMINISTRATION CENTER REGIONS - CRM SINGLE ACCESS
20190069050 · 2019-02-28 ·

Systems and methods are described herein for managing access and performing various actions across multiple, distinct, NPAC regions or systems controlled by the Number Portability Administration Center (NPAC). In some embodiments, a cross regional manager (CRM), or other intermediate management and control system, communicates with each of the multiple, distinct NPAC regions (which include various NPAC systems). The cross regional manager may act as an interface or intermediary between a user device or other requesting system (e.g., a system of a telecommunications services provider, or TSP), a single NPAC region, and the other NPAC regions of the NPAC.

Number portability determination in variable numbering plan

A system or method for determining if a telephony network number is ported for use with variable numbering plan comprising, a first network node for receiving a number message comprising at least a first part of a dialled number identifying a called party, and a number portability database, containing routing numbers associated with entries in the database. The first network node is configured to compare the number message with entries in the number portability database. The first network node is configured such that if the number message or a first part of the number message uniquely matches with the whole of an entry in the database and does not match with part of another entry in the database, the first network node determines that a best match has been found. In this case, the first network node routes a call to a second network node identified by the routing number associated with the entry. The first network node is configured such that if the number message matches with at least part of at least one entry in the database, the first network node determines that at least one partial match has been found. The first network node then retrieves a further part of the dialled number. The first network node repeats the comparison based on a new number message comprising said first part of the dialled number and said further part of the dialled number. The first network node is configured such that if at least a first part of the number message cannot be matched to the whole of any entry in the database, the first network node determines that no match has been found. In this case, the first network node routes a call to a second network node identified by the dialled number.
