TERMINAL IMPLEMENTING A COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND SERVER IMPLEMENTING A METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING A COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TWO TERMINALS
Methods and devices for establishing a communication between a first and a second terminal are described. The disclosed technology can be implemented in or by a server or a terminal in communication with the server. The first terminal can to the server, using a first calling identity, a request including connection information and an identifier of the first terminal. Using the identifier, the server can obtain from a database a pair of calling identities including one certified and one non-certified, the pair comprising the first calling identity and a second calling identity. The server can determine, from one of the calling identities and from the connection information, a connectivity mode of the terminal, and determine a routable number on which the terminal can send a communication to the server. The server can route the communication towards the second terminal by presenting a calling identity of the pair and sending the routable number to the first terminal.
Method and system for identification of a remote host in an out-of-band verification network
A system detects abnormalities in a call signal indicative of call fraud. The system includes a first device situated in an originating call network and configured to send call signals to a second device situated in a terminating call network. The first device is coupled to a first registry to which it sends the call data from the sent signals for storage as originating call records. The second device is coupled to a second registry to which it sends the call data from the received signals for storage as terminating call records. The first and second registries exchange verification requests and responses to detect whether discrepancies exist between the stored originating call records in the first registry and stored terminating call records in the second registry. The registries generate alerts based on detected discrepancies, which may be used by the devices to block the call fraud.
Method and system for transmission of a session initiation protocol (SIP) identity header in an out-of-band verification network
A computer-implemented network verification system includes a second device situated in a terminating call network and configured to receive a call signal from a first device situated in an originating network. The first device is coupled to a first registry that stores originating call records. The first registry is configured to obtain, from the first device, and store call data and a SIP identity header associated with the call signal. The system also includes a second registry coupled to the second device and configured to receive, from the first registry over an out-of-band verification network, a first verification request that contains the originating call record, including the SIP identity header associated with the call signal. The second registry is further configured to send the SIP identity header contained in the first verification request to the second device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ROUTING A CALL WITH LOCAL TELECOMMUNICATION PLATFORMS
A computer-implemented method that includes determining a call is received from a user device at a first telecommunication provider and determining a first location of the user device based on data transmitted to the first telecommunication provider via the call. The method includes determining a distance between the first location and a location of each of a plurality of telecommunication platforms. Each of the plurality of telecommunication platforms includes a plurality of predefined addresses. The method includes determining a local telecommunication platform of the plurality of telecommunication platforms is positioned closer to the first location than a remainder of the plurality of telecommunication platforms based on the distance of the plurality of telecommunication platforms from the first location. The method includes routing the call from the first telecommunication provider with at least one of the plurality of predefined addresses of the local telecommunication platform.
Method and Apparatus for Detecting SMS Parameter Manipulation
System and method for detecting SMS parameters manipulation. A first SMS registry is coupled to a first Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and optionally to other SMS registries. The first SMSC is within a terminating telephone network. The first SMS registry receives first and second information about an SMS message that was sent from another telephone network or from an External Short Messaging Entity (ESME) and is destined to the first SMSC. The first and second information represent status of the SMS message respectively before and after the SMS message enters the terminating telephone network. The first SMS registry or a firewall automatically compares at least corresponding portions of the first and second information. As a result of the comparison, in response to detecting a difference between the at least portions of the first and second information, the first SMS registry automatically sends a signal indicating SMS parameter manipulation.
Systems and methods for service enablement and end device activation
A method, device, and computer-readable medium provide for identifying a user of a first end device based on first user identification information; registering the first end device in a provider network based on first user credentials, the first end device having a SIM profile associated with an MDN; generating a network session ID to access a first application service from the server device via a first network connection; initiating a first pairing mode with a second end device; identifying the user based on second user identification information obtained from the user via the second end device; determining that the second end device has a higher hosting priority than the first end device; sending a request to the server device to transfer use of the MDN to the second end device; and establishing a second network connection to the server device and releasing the first network connection based on the transfer.

System, user equipment, server, computer program product and method for providing access to mobile communication services
The invention relates to a system, an user equipment and a method for providing access to mobile communication services, allowing a user to regularly access his/her mobile services and applications through an Internet connection, but pretending to use a regular mobile device. The invention is based on an alternative user equipment equipped with a subscriber identity module to which it is associated the same telephone number as a subscriber identity module that is equipping the user's main regular mobile device, so that the alternative user equipment can access at least one communication service that is also available to the main regular mobile device.
