Toll-free numbers metadata tagging, analysis and reporting
A method for predicting fraudulent call activity is provided. The method includes receiving one or more datasets indicating call activity corresponding to a phone number, and analyzing the one or more datasets to identify unusual call activity. The method further includes generating a fraud prediction, based at least in part on the identified unusual call activity, that the phone number will be used for fraud.
Optimizing connectivity in reconfigurable networks
A method may include determining whether the topology of a network includes a direct path between a first endpoint and a second endpoint in the network. A direct path may be used to send a first type of traffic from the first endpoint to the second endpoint whereas any currently available path may be used to send a second type of traffic from the first endpoint to the second endpoint. If the topology of the network does not include a direct path, the first type of traffic may be buffered at the first endpoint until the topology of the network is reconfigured to include the direct path. The topology of the network may be reconfigured when at least one switch in the network reconfigures, for example, by switching from one interconnection to another interconnection pattern. Related systems and articles of manufacture are also provided.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PHONE NUMBER FRAUD PREDICTION
A method including: receiving one or more datasets indicating call activity corresponding to a phone number; analyzing the one or more datasets to identify unusual call activity; and generating a fraud prediction, based at least in part on the identified unusual call activity, that the phone number will be used for fraud.
Reduction in network congestion
A system, method and non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that when read by a processor perform receiving a telephony connection request at a location in a telephony network, the location separated from an intended recipient of the telephony connection request by a target telephony network, determining addressing information regarding the intended recipient, the addressing information including at least routing information or a phone number, determining a status characteristic of the intended recipient based on the addressing information, based on the status characteristic, and determining whether the intended recipient would successfully receive the telephony connection request if the telephony connection request was forwarded to the intended recipient.
Maintaining Audio Communication in a Congested Communication Channel
The invention relates to a communication system and a method of maintaining audio communication in a congested communication channel currently bearing the transmission of speech in audio communication between a sender side and a receiver side, the communication channel having at least one signaling channel and at least one payload channel having a quality of service. During the audio communication the quality of service of the payload channel is monitored. If the quality of service of the payload channel is below a threshold the speech at the respective sender side is converted to text; and transmitted over the retained communication channel to the respective receiver side. The text may be converted back to speech at the receiver side.

TOLL-FREE NUMBERS METADATA TAGGING, ANALYSIS AND REPORTING
A method for reducing costs associated with fraudulent call activity is provided. The method includes receiving data associated with usage of a telecommunications number. The method further includes analyzing the data to determine that the usage of the telecommunications number is indicative of a fraudulent call activity. The method further includes assigning a call route to the telecommunications number adapted to reduce a cost associated with the fraudulent call activity.

Methods, devices, and systems for load balancing between a plurality of waveguides
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying an overload event according to monitoring signals received from a group of source devices over a network. Other aspects can include receiving load information from each of a plurality of waveguides resulting in a plurality of load information. Further aspects can include analyzing the plurality of load information resulting in a load analysis of the plurality of waveguides. Additional aspect can include identifying a recipient waveguide from the plurality of waveguides based on the load analysis. Also, aspects can include identifying a first source device, and notifying the first source device to provide communications to the recipient waveguide and not to the waveguide device to mitigate the overload event. Other embodiments are disclosed.
