According to an embodiment, a hearing aid is disclosed. The hearing aid includes a first functional unit and a second functional unit. The second functional unit is configured to removably couple with the first functional unit. The coupling provides at least a mechanical connection between the first functional unit and the second functional unit. The first functional unit includes a moveable element that is configured to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the moveable element is contained entirely within the first functional unit. In the second position, a part of the moveable element is configured to protrude out of the first functional unit. The second functional unit includes a recess configured to receive the part of the moveable element that protrudes out of the first functional unit such that the first functional unit and the second functional unit are immovably locked with respect to each other in response to the moveable element is received in the recess.

Modular connection assembly for a hearing assistance device

The present subject matter relates to an improved connection assembly for hearing assistance devices. The improved connection assembly provides a connection system that is reliable, straightforward to manufacture, and easy to use. The present connection assembly provides a rapid replacement option for the cable and/or the receiver or other electronics connected to the cable. The present subject matter provides for a connection assembly that can be extended to provide connections for a variety of applications which are not limited to a speaker (receiver) in the ear. Sensors and new configurations of component placement are supported using the present assembly, including, but not limited to telecoils, and GMR or TMR sensors. Various electromagnetic interference issues are addressed. In some examples a shielded set of wires are included. In some examples a twisted pair of wires is included. Various combinations of wires for different applications are supported with the present connector system.

METHOD FOR PROVIDING VISUAL MARKINGS ON A CONNECTOR FOR A HEARING DEVICE

A method of providing a custom visual marking on a earing device includes: providing a hearing device comprising a behind-the-ear (BTE) component, an in-the-ear (ITE) component, and a connector having a proximal end connected to the ITE component and a distal end connected to the BTE component, the connector comprising a flexible member extending between the proximal and distal ends; arranging the BTE component behind the ear of the user, and arranging the ITE component in the ear canal of the user so that the connector has a covered portion inserted in the ear canal and an exposed portion outside the ear canal; and providing a visual marking on the connector, wherein the visual marking distinguishes the covered portion from the exposed portion. Bone conduction audio apparatus

A bone conduction audio apparatus includes at least one ear hook assembly. A main circuit board is provided in the ear hook assembly. Each ear hook assembly includes an operating unit, a line concentrator and a bone conduction transducer. Each operating unit is electrically connected with corresponding line concentrator by contact springs or connecting wires, and connected with the main circuit board via the line concentrator. Each bone conduction transducer is electrically connected with the main circuit board via corresponding line concentrator. A controller of the main circuit board receives touch signals from all operating units to determine and initiate relating earphone operating. The bone conduction audio apparatus adopts bilateral triggering interaction mechanism. The line concentrator is combined with the suspended bone conduction transducer.
