Systems, methods, and computer software are disclosed for providing an Open Radio Access Network (RAN) networking infrastructure. In one embodiment a method is disclosed, comprising: providing real-time OpenRAN controller responsible for radio connection management, mobility management, QoS management, edge services, and interference management for the quality of end user experience; and providing a non-real-time controller in communication with the real-time OpenRAN controller, the non-real-time controller providing functionality such as configuration management, device management, fault management, performance management, and lifecycle management for all network elements in a network.

A data router serves User Equipment (UEs) over network connections to network slices. The router executes an operating system, and in response, executes router applications in containers. The router applications receive a container configuration, a connection configuration, and a slice configuration from the wireless communication network. The router applications transfer the container configuration to the operating system. The operating system controls processing qualities of the containers based on the container configuration. The router applications generate and transfer the performance information for the network connections to the wireless communication network. The router applications prioritize the network connections to the network slices based on the slice configuration. The router applications exchange user data with the UEs and exchange the user data with the network slices over the network connections using service qualities based on the connection configuration.

TWO-LEVEL GRID-BASED ANOMALY AREA IDENTIFICATION AND SOLUTION NOMINATION FOR RADIO ACCESS NETWORKS

A system can include a network analysis platform for a two-level grid-based anomaly area identification and solution nomination in a radio access network. The network analysis platform can map key performance indicators for user sessions in the network to a grid that overlays a geographic area. The grid can be based on a military grid reference system. A machine-learning model can take a vector of key performance indicator samples as input and identify a problem for the grid. The network analysis platform can nominate cells to attempt to remediate based on ranking poor performing bins in the grid and determining the cells that contribute most to the problem in each bin. For a nominated cell, the network analysis platform can perform remediation actions to solve a coverage problem, throughput problem, or both. The problem can be solved for the grid while preventing conflicts between individual cells.

The first access gateway provides the portion of available network resource as additional network resources for the second access gateway. The method also includes collecting information regarding operation of the two access gateways, processing information for identifying assessment rules regarding availability of network resources, exploiting the assessment rules for determining availability of network resources, and providing available network resources from the first access gateway to the second access gateway according to the availability of network resources.

An information handling system executing an on-demand network slice overlay optimization system includes a processor executing the on-demand network slice overlay optimization system to receive wireless network load profile metrics from a regional edge device and the endpoint load profile metrics; receive core metrics from a radio access network (RAN) service provider descriptive of the load capacity of a core network to provide data throughput at a given time; determine whether the real-time data load demand of the grouped plurality of endpoint devices can be provisioned to the load capacity described in the core metrics; and provide instructions to dynamically adjust network slices at the regional edge device to provide for any changes in the real-time data load demand based on an elastic client business policy enforced at the regional edge device for wireless connectivity data for the grouped plurality of endpoint devices.

A managed Wi-Fi service network device can receive, from a cellular network device, an allowable throughput rate at which a user equipment is authorized to communicate via a managed Wi-Fi service network. Based on the allowable throughput rate, the managed Wi-Fi service network device can monitor a communication rate of the user equipment via the managed Wi-Fi service network. In response to the user equipment communicating via the managed Wi-Fi service network at a rate that exceeds the allowable throughput rate, the managed Wi-Fi service network device can facilitate reducing the communication rate of the user equipment. Also, a user equipment can receive from a cellular network device an allowable throughput rate at which the user equipment is authorized to communicate via the managed Wi-Fi service network. The UE can communicate via the managed Wi-Fi service network at a communication rate that does not exceed the allowable throughput rate.

An bandwidth allocating method performed by a bandwidth allocating apparatus included in an OLT includes receiving an actual report message requesting bandwidth allocation from at least one ONU for wired subscribers connected to the OLT, receiving radio scheduling information for at least one ONU for mobile connected to the OLT from a central unit (CU)/digital unit (DU), generating a virtual report message using the radio scheduling information received from the CU/DU, allocating a transmission bandwidth for the at least one ONU for wired subscribers and the at least one ONU for mobile through the received actual report message and the generated virtual report message, and transmitting the allocated transmission bandwidth to the ONU for wired subscribers and the ONU for mobile using a grant message.
