SUPPORTING SWITCHING BETWEEN BASE STATIONS THAT PROVIDE MULTICAST AND BROADCAST SERVICE
A multicast and broadcast service (MBS) switching method includes acquiring, by a base station serving a user equipment, capability information of other base stations for an MBS, the capability information indicating whether the MBS is supported by each of the other base stations. The method further includes determining, according to the capability information of the other base stations for the MBS, whether a first base station of the other base stations supports the MBS in response to a determination to switch the MBS of the user equipment to the first base station. The method further includes initiating an MBS switching request to the first base station in response to a determination that the first base station supports the MBS, the MBS switching request indicating to switch the MBS of the user equipment from the base station serving the user equipment to the first base station.
DATA RETRANSMISSION METHOD, DATA RETRANSMISSION APPARATUS, TARGET NODE, SOURCE NODE, AND TERMINAL
Data retransmission method is disclosed. The method includes: obtaining a mapping relationship between GTP-U sequence numbers of N data packets sent by a source node and source PDCP sequence numbers assigned to the N data packets by the source node; and performing data retransmission based on the mapping relationship.
MBS Security in UE Mobility
In response to a UE in a wireless network leaving a multicast group to which the user equipment belonged or switching between multiple access nodes belonging to the multicast group, sending by an access node a rekeying token for UE(s) in the multicast group to use to access data for the multicast group. The access node generates key(s) based at least on the rekeying token. The access node multicasts traffic to the UE(s) in the multicast group using the key(s). In response to an other UE in a wireless network leaving a multicast group to which a UE belongs or switching by the UE between multiple access nodes belonging to the multicast group, receiving, at the UE from an access node, a rekeying token to use. The UE generates key(s) based at least on the rekeying token and receives multicast traffic using the key(s).
SERVICE BASED CELL RE-SELECTION
A first network node of a first frequency layer, acquires (201) information on services that are offered by a second network node at a second, different frequency layer. The second network node is within the coverage area of the first network node. The first network node broadcasts (202) a service advertisement message to at least one terminal device (UE) for advertising the services offered by the second network node at the second frequency layer.
Wireless device
Disclosed herein is a wireless device including a display, a wireless communication interface configured to wirelessly perform communication with an external device, and a processor configured to activate any one of a first connection mode in which connection with the external device is established through an access point or a second connection mode in which direct connection with the external device is established, based on a network environment and receive, from the external device, image data corresponding to a source image being displayed on the external device according to the activated connection mode and display, on the display, a mirroring image based on the received image data.
On-demand multicast control channel messages
Methods, systems, and devices for on-demand multicast control channel (MCCH) messages are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, system information indicating an MCCH message configuration. Based on receiving the MCCH message configuration, the UE may transmit a request for an MCCH message. For example, the UE may transmit the request for the MCCH message by a random access preamble or a radio resource control (RRC) message. After transmitting the request, the UE may receive the MCCH message in accordance with the MCCH message configuration. That is, the base station may receive the request and transmit the MCCH message in response to the request. The MCCH message may indicate a multicast service radio bearer (MRB) configuration for receiving multicast traffic. Thus, the UE may receive multicast traffic from the base station in accordance with the MRB configuration.
Methods and systems for multicast-broadcast session release and modification
Methods and Systems for modifying or releasing a Multicast/Broadcast (MB) session for delivery of MB Data to a plurality of Electronic Devices (EDs) connected to a (Radio) Access Network (R)AN node is disclosed. The method includes receiving one or more triggers, and instructing the various network functions and (R)AN nodes to modify (or release) the MB session dependent on the received trigger.
METHOD, APPARATUS, MEDIUM AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR MULTICAST BROADCAST SERVICE
Embodiments of this disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, and electronic devices for a multicast broadcast service. A method includes: receiving a first multicast broadcast service (MBS) session start request, selecting an intermediate user plane node, transmitting a first user plane MBS session establishment request to the intermediate user plane node, receiving a first user plane MBS session establishment response fed back by the intermediate user plane node and transmitting a second MBS session start request to a son control plane node to instruct the son control plane node to allocate son user plane nodes to the intermediate user plane node.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MAINTAINING BROADCAST SERVICE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Aspects described herein relate to communicating with one or more cells for receiving a broadcast service, and providing broadcast service continuity in device mobility scenarios. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) can transmit a broadcast service interest indication to a serving cell to facilitate receiving the broadcast service during mobility to provide the broadcast service continuity.
TECHNIQUES FOR MAINTAINING MULTICAST AND/OR BROADCAST SERVICE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Aspects described herein relate to communicating with one or more cells for receiving a multicast and/or broadcast service (MBS), and providing MBS continuity in device mobility scenarios. In an aspect, one or more cells for reselection from a current cell can be detected, where the current cell supports a UE interested MBS. The one or more cells can be evaluated for reselection based at least in part on whether the one or more cells support the UE interested MBS to determine a target cell for reselection. Cell reselection can be performed to the target cell.
