The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for providing an AM policy for a UE in a wireless communication system. The disclosure is applicable to apply a consistent policy to a UE in a system in which 4G and 5G networks co-exist. According to the disclosure, a BS in a wireless communication system may include a transceiver, and at least one controller coupled to the transceiver. The at least one controller may be configured to determine handover for a UE based on a communication state of the UE, transmit a handover request message for the UE to an AMF, receive a handover command for the UE from the AMF in response to transmitting the handover request message, and perform a handover procedure with the UE. The handover request message may include information related to a rule used to select a network and a frequency applied to the UE.

COMMUNICATION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM

A method includes a first access network device that sends first indication information to a second access network device. The first indication information indicates information about a current active BWP and/or transmission rate information of a terminal device on the first access network device. The second access network device determines information about a first-time active BWP and/or BWP configuration information of the terminal device on the second access network device based on the first indication information. The method may be used to enable the second access network device to determine the appropriate information about the first-time active BWP and/or the appropriate BWP configuration information of the terminal device on the second access network device. In this way, service interruption caused by switching of an active BWP is reduced, and/or service interruption caused by changing of a BWP configuration is reduced.

METHOD AND COMMUNICATIONS APPARATUS FOR CONFIGURING ASSISTANCE INFORMATION

This application provides a method for configuring assistance information and a communications apparatus. A first network device sends a path switch request message to an access and mobility management function (AMF), where the path switch request message is used to request for switching least one radio bearer (RB) of a terminal device from a second network device to the first network device. The first network device receives a path switch request response message from the AMF. The first network device determines, based on the path switch request response message, first burst arrival time at which a downlink quality of service QoS flow arrives at an ingress of the first network device within a first periodicity, where the first burst arrival time is used for downlink scheduling.

NODE HANDOVER METHOD AND RELATED DEVICE

Embodiments of this application provide a node handover method, in which a source donor node sends a handover request message to a target donor node, where the handover request message includes context information of an IAB node and context information of at least one terminal device. The source donor node receives a handover response message sent by the target donor node, where the handover response message includes an identifier of an accepted terminal device in the at least one terminal device and/or an identifier of a rejected terminal device in the at least one terminal device.

mmWave to Wi-Fi control signal offloading in the event of fading in the mmWave system

Methods and systems are provided for signal offloading in an mmWave environment in the event of high fading. The methods and systems include one or more mmWave nodes that are each configured to wirelessly communicate with a user device in a geographic service area and a Wi-Fi access point configured to wirelessly communicate with the user device. The methods and systems determine that the user device has detected a fading measurement corresponding to an mmWave transmitted by one of the one or more mmWave nodes is above a threshold. In response to the fading measurement being above the threshold, the methods and systems redirect a control signal of the user device through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes. Accordingly, the user device transmit data through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes.
