NESTED CONDITIONAL MOBILITY PROCEDURES
Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for a nested conditional mobility procedure. In some cases, a method for wireless communications by a UE generally includes receiving configuration information configuring the UE for conditional handover (CHO) from a source master node (S-MN) to a target master node (T-MN) and for conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) addition or change (CPAC) and performing a nested procedure based on an evaluation of conditions for both CHO and CPAAC in accordance with the configuration information.
CONFIGURATION HANDLING AT A USER DEVICE
A radio access network (RAN) for configuring a user equipment (UE) transmits, to the UE, (i) a conditional configuration related to a base station operating in the RAN, and (ii) a condition to be satisfied before the UE applies the conditional configuration during a conditional procedure (1802), determines subsequently to the transmitting, that the UE is to perform an immediate procedure related to the RAN (1804), and provides, to the UE, an indication that the UE is to release the conditional configuration (1806).
Identification and Handling of Conditional Procedure
A user equipment (UE) receives, from a radio access network (RAN), conditional configuration information including (i) a configuration related to a base station or a cell, and (ii) a condition to be satisfied before the UE applies the configuration (2102). The UE determines a procedure to which the conditional information pertains (2104). The UE applies, during the determined procedure, the configuration if the condition is satisfied (2106).
Method and Apparatus for secondary base station change in mobile wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for secondary base station change in a mobile communication system with multiple are provided. Method for secondary node change includes transmitting to a target SN a control message requesting conditional secondary node change, receiving from the target SN a Xn message including conditional secondary node change information, transmitting to a terminal LTE DL message for conditional secondary node change, receiving from the terminal a 1st LTE UL message including a transaction identifier, receiving from the terminal a conditional reconfiguration identifier and transmitting to a source SN a control message for data forwarding.
Method and Apparatus for secondary base station change in mobile wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for secondary base station change in a mobile communication system are provided. Method for secondary node change includes receiving conditional reconfiguration information from the base station, performing evaluation based on the configuration generated by a second base station and transmitting a second response message with an identifier indicating which conditional reconfiguration is executed.
Method and Apparatus for secondary base station change in mobile wireless communication system
A method and apparatus for secondary base station change in a mobile communication system are provided. Method for secondary node change includes receiving conditional reconfiguration information from the base station, transmitting to the base station a first response message with a transaction identifier, performing evaluation based on the configuration generated by a second base station and transmitting a second response message with an identifier indicating which conditional reconfiguration is executed.
DATA FORWARDING DURING INTER-SYSTEM HANDOVERS
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a source master eNodeB (MeNB) may transmit, to a target Next Generation radio access network (NG-RAN) node, a handover required message to initiate an inter-system handover from an evolved-Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) New Radio (NR) dual connectivity (EN-DC) system associated with the source MeNB to an NR standalone (SA) system associated with the target NG-RAN node. The source MeNB may have an indirect path to the target NG-RAN node and a source secondary gNodeB (SgNB) may have a direct path to the target NG-RAN node. The source MeNB may transmit, to the target NG-RAN node and based at least in part on the handover required message, forwarded data via the indirect path between the source MeNB and the target NG-RAN node through a core network. Numerous other aspects are described.
Telecommunications apparatus and methods
A method of operating a second network access node comprises configuring the second network access node to act as a secondary network access node for a dual connectivity mode for a terminal device in which a first network access node acts as a master network access node. The method further comprises establishing, while acting as a secondary network access node for the dual connectivity mode, that the second network access node should switch to acting as a master network access node, deriving a new master network access node security key for use by the second network access node when switched to acting as a master network access node for the dual connectivity mode, and configuring the second network access node to act a master network access node for the dual connectivity mode using the new master network access node security key.
Method and apparatus for conditional PSCell change
A method for a conditional Primary Secondary Cell Group (SCG) Cell (PSCell) change (CPC) procedure performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes: receiving, from a master node, a conditional reconfiguration for changing from a source PSCell to a target PSCell in an SCG portion of a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message, the conditional reconfiguration including a configuration of the target PSCell and an execution condition; evaluating the execution condition; applying the configuration of the target PSCell and synchronizing to the target PSCell after determining that the execution condition is satisfied; and transmitting, to the master node, a response message after determining that the conditional reconfiguration is applied.
Admission control in IAB system
A method for admission control including transmitting a first admission request to a distributed unit of the IAB donor, wherein the first admission request includes information about a resource set to be established for a terminal device; receiving a first admission response from the distributed unit indicating whether one or more resources in the resource set are to be accepted; transmitting a second admission request to each of at least one IAB node including information about the resource set; receiving a second admission response from each of the at least one IAB node indicating whether one or more resources in the resource set are to be accepted; and in response to determining that at least one resource in the resource set is to be accepted, transmitting to an IAB node serving the terminal device a request for establishing a context of the terminal device including information about the resource.
