NESTED CONDITIONAL MOBILITY PROCEDURES

Aspects of the present disclosure provide apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for a nested conditional mobility procedure. In some cases, a method for wireless communications by a UE generally includes receiving configuration information configuring the UE for conditional handover (CHO) from a source master node (S-MN) to a target master node (T-MN) and for conditional primary secondary cell (PSCell) addition or change (CPAC) and performing a nested procedure based on an evaluation of conditions for both CHO and CPAAC in accordance with the configuration information.

STEERING TO MITIGATE STRANDED CLIENTS IN MESH NETWORKS

To prevent a client device from being stranded, a steering controller of an access point device can provide an improved network environment or performance by steering a target client device to a basic service set (BSS) of a network device that is different from the current BSS of the target client device based on a first or a poor link quality threshold where non-associated client (NAC) link quality parameters for NAC network devices within the network environment, such as a mesh network, is not available. The steering controller can select or identify a candidate BSS and then send a steering query to the target client device. The steering controller can receive a response from the target client device that indicates whether the steering to the candidate BSS was successful or accepted by the targeted client device.

A radio access network (RAN) for configuring a user equipment (UE) transmits, to the UE, (i) a conditional configuration related to a base station operating in the RAN, and (ii) a condition to be satisfied before the UE applies the conditional configuration during a conditional procedure (1802), determines subsequently to the transmitting, that the UE is to perform an immediate procedure related to the RAN (1804), and provides, to the UE, an indication that the UE is to release the conditional configuration (1806).

A method and apparatus for secondary base station change in a mobile communication system are provided. Method for secondary node change includes receiving conditional reconfiguration information from the base station, performing evaluation based on the configuration generated by a second base station and transmitting a second response message with an identifier indicating which conditional reconfiguration is executed.

Condition handover cancellation method and communication equipment

A condition handover cancellation method and a communication equipment are provided. A CHO cancellation method applied to a source network side device includes: sending a CHO request to at least one target network side device; and sending a CHO cancellation message to the target network side device and/or a terminal side device.

Method and system of managing radio connectivity of a vehicle

There are provided a method of managing radio connectivity of a vehicle and a system thereof. The method comprises: continuously receiving by vehicle's telematic system a predictive model generated by remote system using data continuously collected from a plurality of vehicles, wherein the collected data comprise, for each given vehicle of the plurality of vehicles, data informative of its location, speed and of Radio Access Technology (RAT)-related measurements; and, responsive to a predefined event, applying, by the telematic system, a lastly received predictive model to current values of a predefined set of inputs associated with the vehicle to obtain instructions and respectively provide corrective actions related to radio connectivity of the vehicle. The corrective actions include modifying RRC measurement report(s) so as to force the cellular network to provide one of: intra-RAT handover, inter-RAT handover; excluding available connectivity with undesired RAT or band; and terminating the radio connectivity with further RAT re-selecting.

Method for cell selection, user equipment and network side equipment

A method for cell selection, a user equipment and a network side device are provided. The method includes: reading, by a UE, first system information of a first cell on a first frequency; in a case that the first system information of the first cell indicates that camping on the first cell is not allowed and an intra-frequency reselection is not allowed and in a case that a set condition is met, the UE not selecting, or not reselecting, or neither selecting nor reselecting a cell on the first frequency.

Network device handover method and terminal device

An embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a handover method between network devices and a terminal device. The method includes receiving, by a terminal device, at least one handover command corresponding to a plurality of target network devices, the at least one handover command corresponding to the plurality of target network devices including a first handover command, and the first handover command including configuration information of a first target network among the plurality of target network devices; if the terminal device determines to establish a connection with the first target network device according to the first handover command, starting, by the terminal device, a first access timer corresponding to the first target network device; and establishing, by the terminal device, a connection with the first target network device according to the first access timer.

Slicing policy for user equipment

User circuitry within a wireless User Equipment (“UE”) in need of a network slice or a handoff between cells identifies a slice service type. The user circuitry processes an uplink interference threshold of a target cell based on the slice service type. The user circuitry identifies a preferred operating frequency band based on the slice service type and the uplink interference threshold of the target cell. The user circuitry transfers a service request for a wireless data service having the slice service type over the preferred operating frequency band to network circuitry. The network circuitry wirelessly exchanges data with a wireless access node associated with the target cell over the preferred operating frequency band to establish a packet data unit session comprising the slice service type.

Terminal measurement method and apparatus, and terminal

The embodiments of the disclosure provide a measurement method and apparatus for a terminal, as well as a terminal. The measurement method includes that: a terminal acquires first indication information, the first indication information being for determining a measurement parameter of a dedicated measurement frequency, the measurement parameter of the dedicated measurement frequency being a first measurement parameter and/or a second measurement parameter, and the first measurement parameter being greater than the second measurement parameter.
