An apparatus including: at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code; the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to: select reference neighbouring cells among a plurality of neighbouring cells of a serving cell, wherein the reference neighboring cells have a same numerology and synchronization signal block burst patterns overlapping in time and with a same periodicity; determine a measurement gap configuration allowing at least one terminal served by the serving cell to measure at least one synchronisation signal block from at least one of the reference neighbouring cells; and provide, to the at least one terminal, the measurement gap configuration.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
Provided is a communication method and apparatus. The method includes obtaining measurement configuration information transmitted by a network device. The measurement configuration information includes a measurement gap, gap sharing information, and at least one measurement object. The gap sharing information indicates a proportion of measurement gap occupied by the at least one measurement object in relation to the measurement gap. Based on the gap sharing information, a mobility measurement is performed on the at least one measurement object in the measurement gap.

A measurement configuration method, a device and a storage medium are used for resolving a problem of being unable to be covered by an MG of an existing mechanism caused by a flexible MO SMTC configuration. The method includes: a network device generates measurement configuration information for indicating a plurality of MGs (101) and transmits the measurement configuration information to a terminal device (102); and the terminal device performs a measurement according to the measurement configuration information (103), where the plurality of MGs can be a same type of MGs or different types of MGs, and measurement gaps of the plurality of MGs can cover at least one SMTC of at least one MO. By adding an MG configuration, a purpose of covering more SMTCs is achieved, and a delay problem in measurement and reporting of a terminal can be effectively reduced.

The capability information may include information indicating support for an Ethernet type packet data unit session or header parameter compression. An Ethernet type packet data unit session may be instantiated based on the capability information.

The scheduled entity determines one or more channel condition parameters and selects one or more of the pluralities of neighbor cell measurement relaxation mechanisms, based on the determined one or more channel condition parameters. The scheduled entity executes measurement of one or more neighbor cells using the selected one or more neighbor cell measurement relaxation mechanisms.

A method and apparatus of performing discontinuous reception (DRX) and downlink inter-frequency and inter-radio access technology (RAT) measurements in CELL_FACH state are disclosed. While in DRX mode, a wireless transmit/receive unite (WTRU) may perform inter-frequency and inter-RAT measurements in a measurement occasion that fall into a DRX period. The WTRU may take the measurements on first predetermined number of frame in which a DRX frame would coincide after a last reception frame if DRX operation was ongoing. The WTRU may periodically wake up for downlink reception in CELL_FACH state in accordance with common DRX pattern that is common to all WTRUs in a cell or may wake up from DRX upon reception of the order and receiving a common traffic.
