PREFERENCE SIGNALING FOR A MULTI-SUBSCRIPTION WIRELESS DEVICE
20230050907 · 2023-02-16 ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) associated with a first subscription and a second subscription may establish a connection with a base station, the first subscription in a connected state. The UE may use the first subscription to perform a communication activity with the base station while the first subscription is in the connected state. Upon completion of the communication activity, the UE may transmit UE assistance information (UAI) to the base station indicating a preference of the UE to switch the first subscription to an inactive state in response to a release message from the base station.

A control apparatus for a communication device includes: a data acquisition unit that acquires data regarding a use condition of a communication device to be monitored from the communication device; a data analysis unit that analyzes the use condition of the communication device to be monitored based on the acquired data regarding the use condition of the communication device; and a device control unit that controls the communication device to be monitored to shift between a normal mode and a power saving mode based on a result of the analysis by the data analysis unit.

Determining a duty schedule for a group of lighting devices providing a similar lighting service

A lighting device (31) is configured to determine a group of service-providing devices (41-44) and determine a schedule for the service-providing devices in the group. The group (101) comprises at least two service-providing devices capable of performing a similar or a same lighting service. The schedule indicates for each service-providing device of the group in which time period the service-providing device is able to receive messages such that at least one device of the determined group of service-providing devices is able to receive messages. The lighting device is configured to transmit the schedule to the service-providing devices.

Connected mode discontinuous reception enablement and parameter adaptation
11595890 · 2023-02-28 · ·

Techniques for dynamically adjusting Connected Mode Discontinuous Reception (CDRX) parameters are discussed herein. For example, a base station may receive information associated with downlink data to be sent to a user equipment (UE) and/or information associated with the UE itself. The base station may adjust CDRX parameters to be implemented on the UE based on the received information in order to maximize performance of the UE. In some examples, the base station may adjust CDRX parameters based on a traffic type (e.g., voice traffic, video traffic, data traffic, etc.) associated with the downlink data, UE state parameters associated with the UE, and/or Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) data associated with the UE.

Altitude based device management in a wireless communications system

Altitude based device management is provided herein. A method can comprise transmitting, by a mobile device comprising a processor, a signaling message to a network device of a wireless network. The signaling message can comprise first data indicating a device type of the mobile device and second data indicating a distance measurement of the mobile device with respect to a reference point. The method can also comprise implementing, by the mobile device, a first instruction related to a power setting and a second instruction related to an operating parameter. The first instruction and the second instruction can be received from the network device and can be based on the device type of the mobile device and the distance measurement of the mobile device.

A communication method and apparatus of a terminal in a mobile communication system are provided. The method includes generating uplink control information for at least one activated cell; configuring, if the activated cell belongs to a Master Cell Group

(MCG) under a control of a Master evolved Node B (MeNB), an uplink control channel based on the uplink control information of the activated cell belonging to the MCG; and transmitting the uplink control channel to a Primary Cell (PCell).

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RECONFIGURATION OF NODE HARDWARE IN A NETWORK OF MOVING THINGS

Communication network architectures, systems and methods for supporting a network of mobile nodes. As a non-limiting example, various aspects of this disclosure provide communication network architectures, systems, and methods for supporting dynamically re-configurable and adaptable network devices in a communication network comprising a complex array of both static and moving communication nodes (e.g., the Internet of moving things).

Wireless Patient Monitoring System and Method

A patient monitoring system includes at least two wireless sensing devices, each configured to measure a different physiological parameter from a patient and wirelessly transmit a parameter dataset. The system further includes a receiver that receives each parameter dataset, a processor, and a monitoring regulation module executable on the processor to assign one of the at least two wireless sensing devices as a dominant wireless sensing device and at least one of the remaining wireless sensing devices as a subordinate wireless sensing device. The physiological parameter measured by the dominant wireless sensing device is a key parameter and the parameter dataset transmitted by the dominant wireless sensing device is a key parameter dataset. The key parameter dataset from the dominant wireless sensing device is processed to determine a stability indicator. The subordinate wireless sensing device is then operated based on the stability indicator for the key parameter.
