The method may comprise: obtaining a default sidelink (SL) discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration; obtaining a profile representing whether SL DRX is compatible; performing first SL transmission based on the default SL DRX configuration, based on the profile representing that the SL DRX is compatible; establishing a PC5 radio resource control (RRC) connection with a second device; obtaining an SL DRX configuration; transmitting, to the second device, information related to the SL DRX configuration; and performing, to the second device, second SL transmission based on the SL DRX configuration, regardless of the profile.
Radio Access Network Dynamic Functional Splits
Systems and methods for Radio Access Network dynamic functional splits are de-scribed. In one embodiment, a method may be disclosed for Radio Access Network dynamic func-tional splits, comprising: determining, by a user for a RAN, a first split of different functionalities between a central Unit (CU) and a Distributed Unit (DU), the functionalities including a Radio Resource Controller (RRC), a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP), a Radio Link Control (RLC); a Medium Access control (MAC), a Physical Layer (PHY), and a Radio Frequency Unit (RF); and wherein the system is able to provide different splits of the functionalities based on fac-tors such as user count, fronthaul capacity, fronthaul usage, required baseband processing capacity, and latency.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
Provided are an electronic device and a method for wireless communication, and a computer-readable storage medium. The electronic device comprises: a processing circuit configured to: determine that a physical layer problem occurs during transmission by a user equipment which uses a pre-configured resource in a pre-configured resource pool to execute the transmission; and determine, according to a transmission quality requirement of a data packet to be sent, the length of time during which the user equipment can continue using the pre-configured resource.
TARGET CELL SELECTION OF AUTONOMOUS MOBILE REPEATERS
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by a mobile repeater. The mobile repeater measures broadcast signals from one or more target cells as the mobile repeater moves through a network. The mobile repeater selects one of the target cells, based on the measuring and side information. The mobile repeater forwards signals between a user equipment (UE) and the selected target cell.
Asynchronous synchronization with a mobile communication network
A control method implemented by a communication device. The control method includes: acquiring a current location and current capacities of a drone; selecting a destination point that can be reached by the drone according to the location and capacities thereof, the destination point being located in the coverage area of a point of access to a mobile communication network; and providing the drone with instructions specifying the destination point towards which the drone is to travel and communication operations to be carried out in connection with the mobile communication network. Once the instructions are obtained, the drone moves towards the destination point and performs the communication operation as soon as it reaches the destination point or as soon as the connection quality reaches a satisfying level.
Method and device for setting resource pool in NR V2X
A method for a first device to perform wireless communication and a device supporting same. The method may include the steps of: receiving, from a base station, a time division duplex uplink-downlink (TDD UL-DL) configuration including information related to a UL resource; receiving, from the base station, information related to the start of sidelink (SL) symbols, information related to the number of the SL symbols, and a bitmap indicating one or more slots included in an SL resource pool; and determining the SL resource pool.
Vehicle communications system with vehicle controller and set of wireless relay devices
Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a vehicle communications system of a vehicle comprises a vehicle controller with a wireless communications interface capable of providing wireless coverage in a plurality of vehicle regions, and a set of relay devices that are each communicatively coupled to the vehicle controller and are each capable of providing wireless coverage in at least one of the plurality of vehicle regions. In a further aspect, the vehicle controller transitions between first and second modes of communication based in part upon a traffic condition.
Adaptive carrier switching
A communication apparatus, terminal apparatus, system and method are provided for performing wireless communication. The communication apparatus supports a plurality of component carriers, wherein one of the plurality of component carriers is designated as a current primary component and at least one of the plurality of component carriers is designated as a current secondary component carrier providing at least downlink communication. The communication apparatus comprises control circuitry for controlling a component carrier testing procedure for one or more component carriers. The testing procedure comprises, for each component carrier: establishing an uplink connection from the terminal apparatus to the communication apparatus using the component carrier; and determining a quality of the uplink connection for the component carrier. The control circuitry is responsive to completion of the testing procedure to designate an updated primary component carrier on the basis of the qualities of the uplink connections determined for the component carriers.
Communications method, apparatus, and system
A communications method includes determining, by a first platoon member, at least one second platoon member, where the first platoon member and the at least one second platoon member belong to a same platoon, and signal quality of a communication link from the first platoon member to each second platoon member is less than a first preset quality threshold, determining, by the first platoon member, a target communications node, where signal quality of a communication link from the target communications node to each second platoon member is greater than or equal to the first preset quality threshold, and sending, by the first platoon member, to-be-sent data to each second platoon member through the target communications node.
Mobile cellular networks
Multiple mobile cellular network (MCN) communication systems can be networked together to form a network of MCN communication systems (NOM). Each MCN communication system within the NOM can operate as an independent cellular network to provide communications between user equipment within a covered area. When a UE in one MCN of the NOM moves into a different MCN of the NOM, the corresponding MCN communication systems can handover the UE. The UE can also be handed over between MCN communication systems when the MCN communication systems move.
