Systems, methods, and circuitries are provided for calibrating a heater used to heat an adjustable resistance network during a trimming procedure. In one example, a circuit is provided that includes an adjustable resistance network including first resistance segments; a heater element thermally coupled to the adjustable resistance network; a calibration resistor including second resistance segments thermally coupled to the first resistance segments; and interface circuitry coupled to the calibration resistor.

The present disclosure relates to an aerosol delivery device that includes a reservoir housing that defines a mouthpiece channel. The aerosol delivery device includes a sealing member configured to be received within the reservoir housing to define a reservoir chamber configured to retain an aerosol precursor composition therein. The aerosol delivery device also includes a substrate member that is configured to be received within the reservoir housing and to be directly engaged with a vaporizing assembly for forming an aerosol. The reservoir housing, sealing member, substrate member, and/or vaporizing assembly can be used for forming aerosols with precise and reproducible compositions.
VIRTUAL SENSING SYSTEM
A heating system includes at least one electric heater disposed within a fluid flow system and a control device that is configured to determine a temperature of the at least one electric heater based on a model, at least one fluid flow system input, and at least one heater input. The at least one heater input includes at least one physical characteristic of the heating system, the at least one physical characteristic includes at least one of a resistance wire diameter, a heater insulation thickness, a heater sheath thickness, a conductivity, a specific heat and density of the material of the heater, an emissivity of the heater and the fluid flow pathway, and combinations thereof. The control device is configured to provide power to the at least one electric heater based on the temperature of the at least one electric heater.
AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEMS
An aerosol provision system for generating aerosol for user inhalation is disclosed. The aerosol provision system comprises a replaceable part comprising a substrate providing aerosol generating material for generating the aerosol for user inhalation and a reusable part comprising: a housing including an interface configured to operatively engage with the replaceable part, and an air channel configured at least partially in the housing to provide a passage of air drawn by user inhalation to receive the aerosol generated from the aerosol generating material, a detector configured to detect the passage of air drawn through the air channel; at least one aerosol generating element disposed with respect to the interface and configured, in use, to generate aerosol from the aerosol generating material, and a control circuit configured to receive a signal from the detector indicating an amount of air drawn by the user and to control the at least one aerosol generating element to generate the aerosol selectively from different regions of the aerosol generating material in response to the amount of air drawn through the air channel.

The heating assembly comprises: a heating tube comprising a tube body and a conductive part formed on the tube body; at least a base, the base being connected to the tube body; an insulating element provided between the base and the tube body; and a conductive element provided on the base and comprising a first part and a second part which are electrically connected to each other, wherein the first part is located between the insulating element and the tube body and makes contact with the conductive part to form electric connection, the second part deviates in the direction away from the tube body with respect to the first part, and the second part is used for being coupled with a power source.

A battery unit includes a power source; a detection part for detecting an output voltage of the power source; a connection part to which a load for atomizing an aerosol source or heating a flavor source and a charger for charging the power source are connectable; and a control part being able to execute a power supplying mode that allows supply of electric power from the power source to the load and a charging mode that allows charging of the power source by the charger, wherein if a decreased quantity of the output voltage per predetermined period in the charging mode is equal to or less than a threshold value that has been set based on a decreased quantity of the output voltage per the predetermined period in the power supplying mode, the control part determines that there is abnormality in the charging mode.
