A heating device is designed to heat a liquid while minimizing current that is induced in the liquid. The heating device includes a radiant heat source and a heated member such that the radiant heat source applies radiant energy to the heated member and the heated member is positioned within a vessel. The radiant energy from the radiant heat source is radiated across an empty or gas-filled gap between the radiant heat source and the heated member and the heated member transfers heat to the liquid.

COATING-MATERIAL DRYING METHOD

A coating-material drying method for drying a coating film of a coating material applied to a vehicle body by electrodeposition coating includes: an irradiation step of applying an electromagnetic wave to the coating material staying in a gap formed in the vehicle body to decrease the viscosity of the coating material such that the coating material flows out from the gap; and a drying step of drying and hardening the coating film by heating the vehicle body after the irradiation step. In the irradiation step, a part of the vehicle body is kept at a temperature less than 110° C., the part being a part where the coating material flowing out from the gap flows.

Heater and smoking device including the heater

The present application discloses a heater and a smoking set including the heater. The heater includes: a base, having an inner surface and an outer surface; an infrared radiation layer, formed on the surface of the base; the infrared radiation layer is configured to generate infrared rays and at least heat an aerosol-forming matrix by radiation; a heating body arranged at the periphery of the base, and used to receive electric power from a power supply to generate heat. The heating body is configured to transfer the heat to heat the infrared radiation layer to generate the infrared rays. According to the present application, the infrared radiation layer is heated up by the heating body so that the infrared radiation layer generates infrared radiation to heat the aerosol-forming matrix, thereby reducing the preheating time of the aerosol-forming matrix and improving the user experience.

Reactor for proximal and perpendicular radiation of electromagnetic waves on a thin fluid bed

The invention relates to an electromagnetic wave irradiation reactor (fixed, mobile or portable) suitable for the physical, dynamic, continuous conditioning of materials having the ability to absorb electromagnetic radiation, which need to be treated through electromagnetic irradiation, without coming into contact with the electromagnetic source. In particular, this invention aims to treat those materials which tend to reflect such radiations, which are translucent or difficult to penetrate to irradiation or simply dirty. The invention mainly exploits the postulates of Lambert, and Stefan-Boltzmann, that is, the physical assumptions of the transmission of electromagnetic energy by radiation and in particular the angle, concentration and proximity of the emission of energy between emitter and receiver (which varies with the square of the distance) and the intensity of the emission (which varies with the 4th power of the temperature).

Apparatus and method for thawing a frozen drink in a glass drinking bottle

An apparatus is presented for thawing a frozen drink in a glass bottle. The apparatus includes: a housing with a bottle receiving space arranged therein and designed to accommodate a glass drinking bottle; a heating device that is arranged in the housing and has radiative heat sources that are arranged around the bottle receiving space in order to radiate heat energy onto the glass drinking bottle, and a thermal insulation and cooling device which is arranged in the housing. The thermal insulation and cooling device has a thermally insulating space which is formed between the radiative heat sources and an outer housing wall, so as to encompass the outer housing wall. An air cooling system draws air from the surroundings into the housing via an air intake and conveys the air via an air guide to an air outlet, where the air guide encompasses the thermally insulating space.

An electronic cigarette includes a laser and a replaceable atomiser. A reservoir is provided for storing a vaporisable liquid. The replaceable atomiser includes a light guide, an absorber and a vaporisation chamber. A liquid inlet in the atomiser provides a flow path for liquid in the reservoir to flow towards the absorber and the vaporisation chamber. The light guide is configured to couple light from the laser towards the absorber which can generate heat by absorbing the emitted light and this can cause vaporisation of the vaporisable liquid. When the light guide becomes dirty or contaminated it can be replaced simply by replacing the atomiser.
