A display device is formed such that pixels that each include a light emitting element formed by stacking an upper electrode, a light emitting unit, and a lower electrode are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix. The light emitting elements are formed by forming the upper electrodes which are light-transmissive, and then sequentially stacking, onto the upper electrodes, the light emitting units and the lower electrode which is formed from a metal material.
Top emission organic EL element and manufacturing method thereof
A top emission organic EL element includes a substrate, an insulating layer including a hole portion, a lower electrode, a light emitting layer, a bank surrounding the lower electrode and the light emitting layer, and an upper transparent electrode. The insulating layer, the lower electrode, the light emitting layer, the bank, and the upper transparent electrode are disposed above the substrate. The bank is arranged on the insulating layer so as to surround the hole portion. The lower electrode is configured to cover an inner side of the hole portion and an area, where the bank is not arranged, of an upper surface of the insulating layer, and a thickness at a center area of the lower electrode is 150 nm or more.

An organic-EL-display device includes a blue-emitting-organic-EL-device and a red-emitting-organic-EL-device as pixels, in which each of the blue-emitting-organic and the red-emitting-organic-EL-device includes a light-reflection layer, transparent electrode, hole transporting zone, emitting layer, electron transporting zone and semitransmissive electrode in this order, the blue-emitting-organic-EL-device has a blue-emitting layer containing a fluorescent-compound FLB, the red-emitting-organic-EL-device has a red-emitting layer containing a delayed fluorescent compound DFR, the hole transporting zone is provided at a constant film-thickness in a shared manner across the blue-emitting and red-emitting organic EL devices, the red-emitting-organic-EL-device has a resonator structure whose order of interference is first-order between the light reflection layer and the semitransmissive electrode, a film-thickness of the red-emitting layer is less than 50 nm, and a sum of film-thicknesses of the transparent electrode and hole transporting zone in the blue-emitting and red-emitting organic EL devices is less than 40 nm.

Alight-emitting element of the present disclosure includes a light-emitting section including a plurality of light-emitting regions, and one or a plurality of microlens members controlling a traveling direction of light emitted from each of the light-emitting regions. Alternatively, the light-emitting element of the present disclosure includes a light-emitting section including one light-emitting region, and a plurality of microlens members controlling a traveling direction of light emitted from the one light-emitting region. Alternatively, the light-emitting element of the present disclosure includes a light-emitting section including a plurality of light-emitting regions, and one or a plurality of microlens members controlling a traveling direction of each light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting regions.
Display device including a semi-transmissive layer
A display device which exhibits light with high color purity is provided. A display device with low power consumption is provided. An embodiment is a display device which includes a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, a light-emitting layer, a common electrode, a first protective layer, and a semi-transmissive layer. The light-emitting layer includes a first region positioned over the first pixel electrode and a second region positioned over the second pixel electrode. The common electrode is positioned over the light-emitting layer. The first protective layer is positioned over the common electrode. The semi-transmissive layer is positioned over the first protective layer. Reflectivity with respect to visible light of the semi-transmissive layer is higher than reflectivity with respect to visible light of the common electrode. The semi-transmissive layer does not overlap with the first region and overlaps with the second region. For example, the semi-transmissive layer may include an opening in a position overlapping with the first region.
FUNCTIONAL PANEL, DISPLAY DEVICE, INPUT/OUTPUT DEVICE, AND DATA PROCESSING DEVICE
A novel functional panel that is highly convenient, useful, or reliable is provided. The functional panel includes a first element, a first reflective film, and an insulating film. The first element includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a layer containing a light-emitting material; the layer containing a light-emitting material includes a region interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; the first electrode has a light-transmitting property; and the first electrode has a first thickness. The first electrode is interposed between a region of the first reflective film and the layer containing a light-emitting material, and the first reflective film has a second thickness. The insulating film includes a first opening portion, and the first opening portion overlaps with the first electrode. The insulating film has a first step-like cross-sectional shape, and the first step-like cross-sectional shape surrounds the first opening portion. The first step-like cross-sectional shape includes a first step, and the first step is larger than or equal to a thickness obtained by adding the second thickness to the first thickness.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a substrate and a light-emitting element provided on the substrate. The light-emitting element includes a light-emitting portion and a first light-exiting portion. The light-emitting portion includes, in order from the substrate side, a first electrode, a light-emitting layer, a second electrode, and a light absorption layer. The first light-exiting portion includes a first light-reflecting layer provided at an incline on the substrate, and a first opening provided in the light absorption layer.

A display device includes a substrate and a pixel provided on the substrate. The pixel includes a light-emitting portion including a plurality of light-emitting elements and configured to generate light, and a light-exiting portion adjacent to the light-emitting portion. The light-exiting portion includes a first light-reflecting portion provided on an incline on the substrate and configured to receive and reflect the light from the light-emitting portion, and an opening configured to emit the light reflected by the first light-reflecting portion to the outside. At least some of the plurality of light-emitting elements are formed by being layered.

A light-emitting element includes a light-emitting layer including quantum dots, a selectively reflective layer, the selectively reflective layer having a reflection band having a higher reflectivity than a reflectivity of another band, and a wavelength at a long wavelength end in the reflection band of the selectively reflective layer is longer than a wavelength having a half value of a peak value of a light emission spectrum due to electroluminescence of the quantum dots at a shorter wavelength side than a peak wavelength of the light emission spectrum due to the electroluminescence of the quantum dots, and is shorter than a wavelength having the half value of the peak value of the light emission spectrum due to the electroluminescence of the quantum dots at a longer wavelength side than the peak wavelength of the light emission spectrum due to the electroluminescence of the quantum dots.
