INDUCTION COOKING DEVICE
An induction cooking appliance device includes an independent heating unit including an inductor, and a power supply unit configured to provide an alternating current for the first heating unit. The power supply unit includes a configuration unit configured to provide for a change of configuration of the power supply unit between a half-bridge topology and a full-bridge topology for supplying the first heating unit.
ELECTRIC RANGE ADJUSTING HEAT POWER BASED ON PROPERTIES OF HEATING TARGET
Disclosed is an electric range controlling heat power based on properties of a heating target. The electric range may adjust the heat power based on the properties of the heating target, when a user makes a gesture of moving the heating target in a specific direction. A unit decrease amount value of the heat power sequentially decreasing may be set based on the information related to the heating target. The information related to the heating target may include at least one of the weight of the heating target, the size of the bottom surface of the heating target or the property of contents contained in the heating target.
Induction heating assembly for a vapour generating device
An induction heating assembly for a vapour generating device includes an induction coil, radially inward of which a heating compartment is defined for receiving, in use, a body including a vaporisable substance and an induction heatable susceptor; and a temperature sensor located against a side of the heating compartment on the central longitudinal axis of the induction coil at an end of the heating compartment, wherein the induction coil is arranged to heat, in use, the susceptor, and the temperature sensor is arrange to monitor, in use, a temperature related to heat generated from the susceptor. There is also provided an induction heatable cartridge for use with the induction heating assembly. The cartridge includes a solid vaporisable substance; and an induction heatable susceptor held by the vaporisable substance, the susceptor being planar and having an outwardly facing edge and an inwardly facing edge.
Superconducting coil module
A superconducting coil module includes: a first coil composed of a superconducting wire material wound multiple times; and a first heating device coupled to one surface of the first coil and including at least one first heating pattern controlling a threshold current for each turn of the first coil as a minimum threshold current, wherein at least one first heating pattern is disposed on a path according to a predetermined ratio between the inner and outer boundaries of the first coil.
Temperature-regulating appliance with removable base
A temperature-regulating appliance includes a top portion, a base, and a mounting adapter. The top portion has an upper surface and a lower surface. The top portion is configured to be mounted to a countertop. The base includes a housing defining an internal compartment and a thermal element disposed within the internal compartment of the housing. The mounting adapter extends from the lower surface of the top portion to the housing. The mounting adapter detachably couples the base to the top portion.
ELECTRIC RANGE PROVIDING SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS WITHOUT USER INTERVENTION
Disclosed is an electric range which provides specific functions without user intervention. The electric range adjusts the heating power if a user enacts a gesture that slides an item to be heated in a first direction. Also, the electric range provides additional functions if a user enacts a gesture that slides an item to be heated in a second direction.
INDUCTIVE COOKTOP COIL AND DISPLAY SYSTEM
An inductive cooktop includes a transparent panel that supports a cookware object. An electrically actuated panel, such as a display panel, is disposed below the transparent panel. The electrically actuated panel includes two sets of lines, such as data and scan lines, disposed orthogonal to each other to form a two-dimensional matrix that is configured to operate associated elements with an addressing scheme. An array of induction coils are disposed below the electrically actuated panel that are each operable to generate an electromagnetic field that inductively couples with the cookware object supported at the transparent panel. The induction coils are operable to generate an electromagnetic field with a flux direction in general parallel alignment with one set of lines, such as the data lines, to prevent the electromagnetic field from inducing a voltage on the lines.
INDUCTION DEVICE
An induction device includes a plurality of induction areas which can be controlled independently from one another, and a control unit configured to control the plurality of induction areas within a control period from a first control interval and a second control interval repetitively with an alternating current frequency and to supply the plurality of induction areas with energy. The control unit operates in the first control interval at least two of the plurality of induction areas with a first phase shift to minimize interference.
System and method for identifying cookware items placed on an induction cooktop
A method for identifying cookware on an induction cooktop having coils, includes the steps: (a) acquire a coverage factor matrix; (b) set a present level at a maximum value of the matrix; (c) count closed iso-level curves corresponding to the present level and save the result; (d) decrease the level by an amount; (e) count closed curves corresponding to the decreased level; (f) when the number of closed curves at the present level is not lower than that from the previous level, update the saved result with the present level; (g) when the number of closed curves at the present level is lower than that from the previous level, keep the previously saved result; (h) repeat steps (d) to (h), until the number decreases; (i) assign coils inside the curve to a distinct cluster; and (j) use the clustering to estimate a position, shape, size, and orientation of the cookware.
