There is provided a component feeding device including multiple component replenishing devices configured to replenish with components having different shapes; multiple stages on which the components replenished from the multiple replenishing devices are scattered, and a control section configured to cause the multiple replenishing devices to replenish the components to the respective stages at an arbitrary timing. There is provided a component feeding method for supplying components, having different shapes and being respectively replenished onto multiple stages from multiple replenishing devices, to a component mounting device with the components being respectively scattered on the multiple stages, wherein amounts of the components is capable of being respectively changed for each of the multiple stages.

A component is disclosed. A component includes an elongated body, with a first end and a second end; and one or more tabs at the first end and the second end, the tabs configured to have a lower tensile strength than other regions of the component.

A component supply method of supplying components scattered on a stage, includes a storage step of storing position information indicating a position of a component, posture information indicating a posture of the component, and number information indicating the number of components based on imaging data of the components scattered on the stage, and a holding step of holding the components scattered on the stage with a holding tool based on the position information and the posture information stored in the storage step.

A tray-type component supply device includes an exchanging table configured to lift and lowered between an upper position and a lower position, a conveyance section configured to receive a tray from the exchanging table and convey the tray, and a control section configured to receive a detection signal from the detection sensor and cause the driving section to operate the exchanging table, the control section including an abnormality detecting section configured to detect an abnormal state in which a height position of the exchanging table becomes unidentified, a retraction operating section configured to cause the exchanging table to move to the retraction position at a low speed when the abnormal state is detected, and a calibration and restoration section configured to calibrate the height position of the exchanging table to restore a normal state.

A bulk feeder includes a feeder main body, a track member having a reception region in which multiple components discharged from a component case accommodating the components in a bulk state are received, a supply region to which the components are supplied, and a conveyance path of the components from the reception region to the supply region, a vibration device configured to apply vibration to the track member such that the components on the conveyance path are conveyed, and a conveyance control section configured to execute a feeding operation of conveying the components on the conveyance path in a direction toward the supply region and a returning operation of conveying the components on the conveyance path in a direction toward the reception region.

A component mounter includes a camera configured to image the supply region, an image processing section configured to execute image processing on image data acquired by imaging of the camera to recognize an accommodation state of the component for each of the multiple cavities and acquire accommodation information in which the accommodation state of the component is associated with a unique address for each of the multiple cavities, and an operation control section configured to execute a collection operation of the component accommodated in the cavity based on the accommodation information.

A bulk feeder includes a feeder main body, a track member having a reception region in which multiple components discharged from a component case accommodating the components in a bulk state are received, a supply region to which the components are supplied, and a conveyance path of the components from the reception region to the supply region, a vibration device configured to apply vibration to the track member such that the components on the conveyance path are conveyed, and an alignment member configured to guide the multiple components conveyed by the vibration of the track member and align the components with respect to the feeder main body.

A component mounter includes a component supply device equipped with a bulk feeder for supplying multiple components in a bulk state to a supply region for the components, a camera configured to image the supply region, an image processing section configured to execute image processing for distinguishing a region of at least a part of the component from a region of a background in image data acquired through imaging by the camera based on brightness, and a state recognition section configured to recognize a supply state of the component based on at least one of an area and a shape of a component region occupied by at least the part of the component in the image data on which the image processing has been executed.

A component supply device includes a tape feeder configured to feed a tape including a storage configured to store a component and a cover tape configured to cover an upper side of the storage, and a press including a columnar protrusion configured to press an upper surface of a portion of the cover tape that covers the storage.
