An add-in card printed circuit board (PCB) includes a body portion and a card edge portion. The body portion includes a circuit trace associated with a high-speed data communication interface. The card edge portion includes contact fingers, and is configured to be inserted into a card edge connector of an information handling system. The contact fingers include a signal contact finger coupled to the circuit trace, and a ground contact finger that is located adjacent to the signal contact finger. The ground contact finger includes a ground via that couples the ground contact finger to a ground plane layer of the add-in card PCB. The ground via is located half way within the body portion and half way within the card edge portion.
CIRCUIT BOARD, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A circuit board includes a circuit substrate, at least one metal pad, and a tin bar corresponding to each of the at least one metal pad. Each of the at least one metal pad is formed on a side of the circuit substrate and is electrically connected to the circuit substrate. A surface of the metal pad facing away from the circuit substrate is recessed toward the circuit substrate to from a recess. The tin bar is received in the recess. A method for manufacturing a circuit board is also provided.

An optical integration device includes a first circuit layer comprising a first surface adjacent a first diffractive layer, the first diffractive layer arranged on a side of the first circuit layer along a first direction, and a first connecting pad electrically connected with the first circuit layer through a first conductive member. The optical integration device includes a side surface extending along the first direction. The side surface defines a first concavity extending through the first diffractive layer along the first direction. The first connecting pad includes a first mounting member connected with the side surface, and a first convex member extending from the first mounting member and received in the first concavity. The first conductive member includes a first conductive part arranged between the side surface and the first mounting member, and a second conductive part arranged between the first surface and the first convex member.

A package includes a conductive pad, with a plurality of openings penetrating through the conductive pad. A dielectric layer encircles the conductive pad. The dielectric layer has portions filling the plurality of openings. An Under-Bump Metallurgy (UBM) includes a via portion extending into the dielectric layer to contact the conductive pad. A solder region is overlying and contacting the UBM. An integrated passive device is bonded to the UBM through the solder region.

The invention, which relates to the technical field of circuit boards, specifically discloses a method for manufacturing an embedded circuit board, an embedded circuit board, and an application thereof. The method includes: providing a substrate, wherein an electronic component is embedded in the substrate, a pad is arranged on a side surface of the electronic component, and an end surface of the pad is flush with a same side surface of the substrate; forming a metallic layer on a side surface of the substrate adjacent to the pad by sputtering, evaporation, electroplating or chemical vapor deposition; and patterning the metallic layer to obtain a circuit board covered with the metallic layer on the pad, wherein the metallic layer on the pad protrudes beyond the same side surface of the substrate.
