Substrate for a tamper sensor

A substrate for a tamper sensor includes a plurality of walls and a tab. The walls define a protective volume with an open side. The walls have a plurality of open edges adjacent the open side and a plurality of interior edges different from the open edges. The tab extends from one of the interior edges of one of the walls and is disposed within the protective volume.

CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY

A system for the assembly of circuit boards is shown. The system includes an assembly device and a circuit board. The assembly device comprises a substantially planar base plate and guide members. The circuit board includes multiple rigid portions connected by flexible members. The guide members extend into a space partially or completely enclosed in the horizontal direction by the circuit board, and determine the position and orientation of the rigid portions relative to the base plate.

In a method of producing an add-on part of a drive, one circuit board of multiple planar circuit boards, which have electrical conductor tracks with electrical connections, is provided with a centrally arranged opening for passage of a shaft. The circuit boards are populated with electrical and/or electronic components, and the populated electrical and/or electronic components and wiring are electrically tested. Segments made of a material with high thermal conductivity are arranged on at least two of the multiple circuit boards such that a bending process in a region of the electrical connections between the at least two circuit boards causes the segments to form an approximately peripherally closed cover. Lids are arranged on open sides of the cover to realize a closed housing arrangement.

An integrated circuit includes a nexus and a first, a second, a third, and a fourth circuit board. Each of the first and second circuit boards is coupled to opposing sides of the nexus, and each of the third and fourth circuit boards is coupled to opposing sides of the second circuit board. The integrated circuit is transitionable between a first, open configuration, in which the first, second, third and fourth circuit boards and the nexus are substantially coplanar, and a second configuration, in which the first, second, third and fourth circuit boards and the nexus are coupled to one another to define a cavity therein.

Methods of manufacturing include shaping walls into a hollow shell to surround an electronics assembly, covering the hollow shell with ferromagnetic material, inserting the wrapped hollow shell into a plastic bobbin, and winding the plastic bobbin with coil wire to produce three orthogonal windings.

A space-saving configuration for electronics is disclosed in which at least four circuit boards are arranged to form sides of a five-or-greater sided geometric prism that are perpendicular to a common plane. That is, they are stood up on their sides and connected with flex cable to approximate a cylinder. Each circuit board can include one or more sides with electrical components. The circuit boards make up at least half of the five-or-greater sided geometric prism such that the circuit boards wrap at least halfway around. A common connector on one of the circuit boards can be configured to receive power from an underlying motherboard, and flex cables connecting adjacent circuit boards in series distribute power received from the connector to each of the circuit boards in series.

A sensor assembly for a vehicle including a sensor module having a main printed circuit board (PCB). A plurality of auxiliary printed circuit boards (PCBs) are coupled to the main PCB and electrically connected to the main PCB. Each of the plurality of auxiliary PCBs has at least one sensor that is configured to generate a signal. Each of the plurality of auxiliary PCBs are coupled to each other in a defined position relative to each other. A plurality of attachment elements couple the plurality of auxiliary PCBs and the main PCB to at least partially maintain the defined positions of the auxiliary PCBs relative to each other and to electrically connect the plurality of auxiliary PCBs to the main PCB. A retainer abuts the plurality of auxiliary PCBs.

The spaced projections or nodules of each pair of the number of PCS' are connected in an interdigitated manner with adjacent or proximate edge surfaces of the pair of PCS' positioned at an angle between 30° and 135° to each other, for example, at an angle of 90° to each other.
