Carrier board structure with an increased core-layer trace area and method for manufacturing the same are introduced. The carrier board structure comprises a core layer structure, a first circuit build-up structure, and a second circuit build-up structure. The core layer structure comprises a core layer, a signal transmission portion, and an embedded circuit layer, wherein the signal transmission portion and the embedded circuit layer are disposed inside the core layer and electrically connected. The first circuit build-up structure is disposed on the core layer on a same side as the embedded circuit layer and is electrically connected to the embedded circuit layer. The second circuit build-up structure is disposed on the core layer on a same side as the signal transmission portion, and is electrically connected to the first circuit build-up structure through the signal transmission portion and the embedded circuit layer.

The leveling agent comprises tetranitro blue tetrazolium blue and triazolyl acetyl hydrazide.

The first embedded pads is connected to the side wall circuits by the first connecting circuits. The second embedded pads is connected to the side wall circuits by the second connecting circuits.

The resin insulating layer has an opening such that the opening is exposing a portion of the first conductor layer and that the via conductor is formed in the opening of the resin insulating layer, and the resin insulating layer includes inorganic particles and resin such that the resin is forming the surface of the resin insulating layer.

A method for manufacturing a circuit board with nickel resistor embedded therein provides a copper substrate, the copper substrate includes a copper foil. A nickel resistance layer is formed on the copper foil. A first dielectric layer and a first copper layer are formed on the nickel resistance layer. The copper foil and the first copper layer are etched to form a first conductive wiring layer and a second conductive wiring layer respectively, the nickel layer not being subjected to an etching process, to obtain the finished circuit board.
