The solar cell includes a substrate, first busbars and second busbars arranged on the substrate, first fingers connected to the first busbars, and second fingers connected to the second busbars. The first busbars and the second busbars have opposite polarities. The first fingers have a same polarity as the first busbars, and the second fingers have a same polarity as the second busbars. The substrate is provided with busbar pits. At least part of the first and second busbars are located in the busbar pits. Depths of the busbar pits range from 30 m to 50 m. Along a thickness direction of the substrate, ratios of the depths of the busbar pits to heights of the first busbars and/or the second busbars range from 10:3 to 6:5.

A photovoltaic module and a method for manufacturing photovoltaic module. The photovoltaic module includes a solar cell, a pad, fasteners, and a solder strip. The pad is arranged on the solar cell and includes first, second, and third parts, the first part is connected to the third part through the second part, and along a length direction of the solder strip, a width of the second part is less than a width of the first part and a width of the third part. The fasteners are arranged on a side of the first part facing away from the solar cell and a side of the third part facing away from the solar cell, the solder strip is provided between the fastener in the first part and the fastener in the third part, and the solder strip is connected to the pad through the fastener to form a solar cell string.

A solar cell structure comprises a substrate including a front side and a back side. A first tunnel oxide layer, a first polycrystalline silicon layer, a first silicon nitride layer, and a plurality of first electrodes are sequentially formed on the front side of the substrate. A second tunnel oxide layer, a second polycrystalline silicon layer, a second silicon nitride layer, and a plurality of second electrodes are sequentially formed on the back side of the substrate.

The module includes a plurality of cell strips formed by cutting a full cell parallel to a direction of extension of a bus bar of the full cell, a plurality of strings arranged in one or more parallel sets, each string comprising two or more said cells strips interconnected end-to-end with respect to the direction of extension, and a terminal at each opposite end the one or more parallel sets.

A photovoltaic module, and method of making, is disclosed in which a flexible circuit is electrically coupled to a plurality of photovoltaic cells, where the photovoltaic cells are electrically coupled in series to form a series of cells. Each photovoltaic cell has free-standing metallic articles coupled to the top and bottom surfaces of a semiconductor substrate. A cell interconnection element of each photovoltaic cell is electrically coupled to a free-standing metallic article of an adjacent photovoltaic cell, where the interconnection elements of the initial and final cells in the series serve as contact ends for the series of cells. Contact tabs of the flexible circuit are electrically coupled to the contact ends of the series of cells, and a junction box is electrically coupled to a junction box contact region of the flexible circuit.
MONOLITHICALLY INTEGRATED THIN-FILM ELECTRONIC CONVERSION UNIT FOR LATERAL MULTIJUNCTION THIN-FILM SOLAR CELLS
An integrated thin-film lateral multi junction solar device and fabrication method are provided. The device includes, for instance, a substrate, and a plurality of stacks extending vertically from the substrate. Each stack may include layers, and be electrically isolated against another stack. Each stack may also include an energy storage device above the substrate, a solar cell above the energy storage device, a transparent medium above the solar cell, and a micro-optic layer of spectrally dispersive and concentrating optical devices above the transparent medium. Furthermore, the device may include a first power converter connected between the energy storage device and a power bus, and a second power converter connected between the solar cell and the power bus. Further, different solar cells of different stacks may have different absorption characteristics.

A solar cell module includes: two solar cells, each including: a first main face and a second main face; a first electrode on the first main face, comprising a bus-bar electrode having at least one of an opening portion, notch portion, and gap portion; and a second electrode on the first or second main face having a polarity opposite to that of the first electrode; a wiring member that electrically connects the first electrode of one solar cell to the second electrode of another solar cell; and an electrically conductive connection layer that contacts the wiring member and the first main face.

A thermalization structure is formed using a cover configured with a set of pillars, the cover being a part of a cryogenic enclosure of a low temperature device (LTD). A chip including the LTD is configured with a set of cavities, a cavity in the set of cavities having a cavity profile. A pillar from the set of pillars and corresponding to the cavity has a pillar profile such that the pillar profile causes the pillar to couple with the cavity of the cavity profile within a gap tolerance to thermally couple the chip to the cover for heat dissipation in a cryogenic operation of the chip.
