A display device comprises a light emitting diode (LED) which includes a porous semiconductor material, wherein the device comprises a pixel comprising a plurality of subpixels each having a light-emitting layer. A first subpixel has a first light-emitting layer having a first area A1, and a second subpixel has a second light-emitting layer having a second area A2 different from the first area A1. The first subpixel is configured to emit at a first peak wavelength, and the second subpixel is configured to emit at a second peak wavelength different from the first peak wavelength. A method of controlling this display device and a method of manufacturing said display device are also provided.

Disclosed is a display substrate including a display region which includes a light-transmitting display region; the display substrate includes multiple light emitting elements and multiple pixel circuits, the multiple light emitting elements include multiple first type light emitting elements located in the light-transmitting display region, the multiple pixel circuits include multiple first type pixel circuits located in the light-transmitting display region, at least one first type pixel circuit among the multiple first type pixel circuits is electrically connected with at least two first type light emitting elements emitting light of a same color, and the first type pixel circuit is configured to drive the at least two first type light emitting elements to emit light; an orthographic projection of at least one first type pixel circuit on a base substrate is overlapped with an orthographic projection of at least one first type light emitting element on the base substrate.

DISPLAY DEVICE

A display device includes first and second light-emitting units. An external quantum efficiency of the first light-emitting unit at a first current is less than at a second current. An external quantum efficiency of the second light-emitting unit at the first current is greater than at the second current. The first and second light-emitting units are operated at first and second operating currents respectively. When the first operating current is less than or equal to a threshold current, a quantity of the first light-emitting unit is greater than a quantity of the second light-emitting unit; and when the first operating current is greater than the threshold current, the quantity of the first light-emitting unit is less than the quantity of the second light-emitting unit. The first current is less than the second current. The threshold current is greater than the first current and less than the second current.
