MULTI-YEAR CROP YIELD ANALYSIS USING REMOTELY-SENSED IMAGERY FOR MISSING OR INCOMPLETE YIELD EVENTS FOR SITE-SPECIFIC VARIABLE RATE APPLICATIONS
A multi-year yield analysis in precision agriculture characterizes variables affecting crop yield to enable site-specific prescription mapping for a bounded field. Remotely-sensed imagery of the bounded field is incorporated as a replacement for, or in addition to, one or more of coverage data, uniformity data, age data, and weather data that comprise variables in the multi-year yield analysis. The multi-year yield analysis enables recommendations for variable-rate applications to the bounded field such as seeding, fertilizing, and applying crop treatments.

The present disclosure provides the use of 4-(Phenylethynyl) benzoic acid in preparing a plant growth regulator. 4-(Phenylethynyl) benzoic acid has a formula as C.sub.15H.sub.10O.sub.2, a molecular weight of 222.2390. The optimum concentration of 4-(Phenylethynyl) benzoic acid in the plant growth regulator is in a range of 10 μM to 200 μM. The plant growth regulator further contains a pesticidally acceptable carrier. The present disclosure further provides the use of 4-(Phenylethynyl) benzoic acid in regulating plant growth. In the use of 4-(Phenylethynyl) benzoic acid in preparing a plant growth regulator of the present disclosure, 4-(Phenylethynyl) benzoic acid has the ABA-like effects, and is more stable, easily available, cheaper, and environmentally friendly. Therefore, the present disclosure is suitable for large-scale popularization.
Natural Organic Nano-Fertilizers and Their Process of Production
The present invention deals with the formation of Natural Organic Nano-Fertilizers with the chelated nano-nutrients to balance plant nutrition; improve water holding capacity, soil health improvement, sustainable productivity and quality improvement. The present invention involves production of eco-friendly and low cost process for the synthesis of nanoparticles of nano-nutrients by utilizing microorganisms comprising of two lab adapted strains of Aspergillus species, one lab adapted strain of Lactobacillus sp. and lactate, gluconate and proteinate salts as a source of nutrient leads to formation of metal nanoparticles (Zn, Mg, Fe and P) with the size of <20 nms. The present invention increases 12-20% of crop yield, stress tolerance of the crops, nutrient mobilization increases and 3 fold increase in nutrient use efficiency.
PLANT CARRIER AND HYDROPONIC AND AEROPONIC GROWTH APPARATUS
A plant growth apparatus that includes a container with a main cylindrical portion having a main upper opening and a lateral reservoir. The lateral reservoir has a reservoir opening angled downward from the upper opening. The apparatus includes a lid configured for connection to the main upper opening. The lid is defined by one or more apertures. The apparatus further includes a plant carrier configured for connection to the one or more apertures, such that a majority portion of the plant carrier extends into the main cylindrical portion. Also disclosed is a kit for assembling a plant growth apparatus that includes a container defined by a main cylindrical portion with a main upper opening and a lateral reservoir in fluid communication with the main cylindrical portion. The lateral reservoir has a reservoir opening angled downward from the upper opening. The kit also includes a cover for the reservoir opening.
System and method for optimal allocation of agricultural water based on water consumption control
A system and method for optimal allocation of agricultural water based on water consumption control are provided. The system includes a data management module, configured to store and manage data related to water allocation; a basic data statistics module, configured to take statistics on various stored data; an agricultural evapotranspiration (ET) calculation module, configured to calculate an agricultural ET based on the stored data and statistical data; and a water resource allocation module, configured to generate a corresponding water resource allocation scheme based on an agricultural ET of each water consumption unit and corresponding data. Surface water and groundwater are jointly allocated to reduce groundwater exploitation, increase groundwater recharge, reduce invalid water loss and consumption in a carrying and allocation process, and improve an output benefit of agricultural water supply. This provides technical support for realization of agricultural target ETs in different hydrologic years and sustainable utilization of water resources.
Systems and methods for using backscatter imaging in precision agriculture
Systems and methods for determining a mass of a crop by using at least one X-ray scanner is provided. The method includes obtaining at least two scan images of the crop, where a first of the at least two images is obtained along a first plane relative to the crop and a second of the at least two images is obtained along a second plane relative to the crop, and where the first plane is angularly displaced relative to the second plane, registering the first image and the second image, correcting the registered first and second images, and determining the mass of the crop from the corrected first and second images.
Crop-specific automated irrigation and nutrient management
Embodiments for crop-specific automated irrigation of an environmental medium and management of nutrients therein. In one aspect, operation of an irrigation apparatus can be regulated according to specific water demand of a crop. The water demand can be assessed by evaluating water content conditions of the environmental medium comprising the crop, medium characteristics, and/or nutrient delivery and transport characteristics at the medium. Regulation of operation of the irrigation apparatus can comprise control of one or more of water supply to the apparatus, positioning and/or movement of the irrigation apparatus, or configuration of sensing devices for collection of information suitable for such regulation.

Precision agriculture support system and precision agriculture support method
A precision agriculture support system is provided with a measuring device, a storage device and a plant species determining unit. The measuring device measures a first spectral characteristic of light derived from vegetation in a support target area. The storage device stores a database of spectrum according to species that shows a spectral characteristic of a desired crop. The plant species determining unit determines whether a plant included in the vegetation is the desired crop or not based on the database of spectrum according to species and a measurement result of the first spectral characteristic. The plant species determination unit further carries out distinction of agricultural crops, distinction of agricultural crops and weeds and the like. Furthermore, the precision agriculture support system identifies an area where abnormality is occurring, estimates a nature of the abnormality and carries out an early warning by providing a countermeasure against the abnormality.
