SYSTEM FOR MOUNTING ROOF TILES
A roof tile mounting system is disclosed, having a plurality of T-shaped metal footings each configured for detachable fixing of one tile through a snap fit locking mechanism. The mounting blocks are attached to a deck arranged in rows parallel to deck ridge. Each metal footing includes male and female features for side-to-side and row-to-row alignment of the metal footings when being fixed on the roof deck. This makes the process of tile mounting easy and less time consuming. The metal footings further include extended arm for tile support, rail guides for mounting guidance and misalignment prevention, and pad mounting provision for water ingress to a successive tile. The tiles include guide springs that engage with the snap fit locking mechanism for detachable mounting and push back springs to provide push back force during mounting.
Integrated bearing assembly
Solar trackers that may be advantageously employed on sloped and/or variable terrain to rotate solar panels to track motion of the sun across the sky include bearing assemblies and other mechanical features configured to address mechanical challenges posed by the sloped and/or variable terrain that might otherwise prevent or complicate use of solar trackers on such terrain.
Height adjustable solar panel mounting system
A solar panel mounting system including a rail and a clip. When a first notch of the rail receives a portion of a rib of the rail, the clip is positioned on the rail to receive an end of a first solar panel having a first thickness, and when a second notch of the rail receives the portion of the rib, the clip is positioned on the rail to receive an end of a second solar panel having a second thickness different than the first thickness of the first solar panel.
SOLAR TRACKER
A solar tracker provides sun tracking to solar panels, and includes several gearboxes for one single motor. In an embodiment, the solar tracker includes a torsion beam. defining a longintudinal direction of rotation and rotating the solar panels; motor, with motor shaft; first gearbox, at torsion beam at first position, and connected to motor shaft for transmitting to torsion beam rotation of motor shaft; second (Tarbox, mounted to torsion beam at second position further from motor than first position; and primary shaft, coaxial to motor shaft, and connected to second gearbox, for transmitting to second gearbox rotation of the motor shaft. Gearboxes define embedments withstanding torsion moment caused by wind loads for restricting rotation of torsion beam. It provides higher resistance to wind loads and allows for longer solar trackers.
HOLDING MEANS FOR A SOLAR ROOF TILE
A holding means for a solar roof tile includes an oblong beam extending in a longitudinal direction, a first support supported in a mounted position on a first upper batten of a pitched roof and a second support supported in the mounted position on a second lower batten. The holding means further includes at least one rest for the solar roof tile and a drain channel arranged adjacent to the at least one rest and extending in the longitudinal direction to drain atmospheric water along a longitudinal outer edge of the solar roof tile.
Electrical Bonding Splice for Solar Panel Rail Guides
In various representative aspects, an assembly for connecting and electrically bonding two solar panel rail guides. More specifically, the assembly provides a splice that slides within two solar panel rail guides and includes an elongated spring element that is inserted into an elongated slot in the splice and enables the two solar panel rail guides to be electrically bonded together when various bonding techniques are used to allow portions of the spring to penetrate the oxidation layers of the inner surfaces of the rail guides as they are joined together. Another embodiment that utilizes a bonding element that is inserted into an elongated slot of a splice and also enables two solar panel rail guides to be electrically bonded when the rail guides are joined.
Row-end cantilevered beam module support
Solar trackers that may be advantageously employed on sloped and/or variable terrain to rotate solar panels to track motion of the sun across the sky include bearing assemblies and other mechanical features configured to address mechanical challenges posed by the sloped and/or variable terrain that might otherwise prevent or complicate use of solar trackers on such terrain.
FOLDABLE SOLAR PANEL ASSEMBLY
A foldable solar panel assembly is configured to support solar panels in a compact and folded, undeployed position, and in an unfolded, deployed position, and to fold and unfold between its deployed and undeployed position.
SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM AND GEARED DRIVE SYSTEM
A solar energy system includes a photovoltaic (PV) assembly and a drive system. The PV assembly comprises a support subassembly and an array of PV panels pivotable therewith about a longitudinal axis of the PV assembly. The drive system comprises a motor assembly comprising an electric motor and a gearing arrangement, and a pivot wheel comprising a hoop-portion and joined to the PV assembly. The hoop portion includes an outer circumferential channel, and two opposing catches defining a maximum pivot range. A chain resides partly within the circumferential channel, is engaged with the two opposing catches, and is also in geared communication with the motor assembly such that the motor is operable to rotate the pivot wheel. In some embodiments, the opposing catches define a maximum pivot range through an arc of more than π radians and less than 2π radians.
Anchor platform assembly with angled baseplate
An anchor platform assembly for anchoring an object to a raised, generally flat roof-like structure, has an anchor baseplate having a top surface and a bottom surface, and an internally threaded blindbore extending at least partially from the top surface generally towards the bottom surface and fasteners for fastening an object to the anchor baseplate via its blindbore and for fastening the anchor baseplate to a top surface of a roof-like structure. The assembly is especially intended for supporting, e.g., glass railings on balconies terraces and flat roofs and for mounted solar panels on both flat and pitched roofs which provides strength and affords watertight performance.
