The power supply system includes a controller for controlling at least one of a corresponding one of the power supply units or the power conversion device based on communication information obtained by communication between the corresponding one of the power supply units or the power conversion device.

Systems and methods for flexible renewable energy power generation

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for flexible renewable energy power generation. The present disclosure also provides systems and methods for firming power generation from multiple renewable energy sources.

System and method for performing wind forecasting

A system and method for performing novel wind forecasting that is particularly accurate for forecasting over short-term time periods, e.g., over the next 1-5 hours. Such wind forecasting is particularly advantageous in wind energy applications. The disclosed method is anchored in a robust physical model of the wind variability in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL). The disclosed method approach leverages a physical framework based on the unsteady dynamics of earth's atmosphere, and drives forecasting as a function of previously-observed atmospheric condition data observed at the same location for which a wind forecast is desired.

The present disclosure is directed to energy storage and supply management system. The system may include one or more of a control unit, which is in communication with the power grid, and an energy storage unit that stores power for use at a later time. The system may be used with traditional utility provided power as well as locally generated solar, wind, and any other types of power generation technology. In some embodiments, the energy storage unit and the control unit are housed in the same chassis. In other embodiments, the energy storage unit and the control unit are separate. In another embodiment, the energy storage unit is integrated into the chassis of an appliance itself.

Method for implementing power delivery transaction for potential electrical output of integrated renewable energy source and energy storage system facility

Methods for implementing power delivery transactions between a buyer and a seller of electrical energy supplied to an electrical grid by an integrated renewable energy source (RES) and energy storage system (ESS) of a RES-ESS facility are provided. Estimated total potential output of the RES is compared to a point of grid interconnect (POGI) limit to identify potential RES overgeneration, and the buyer is charged if potential RES overgeneration is less than potential overgeneration during one or more retrospective time windows. The method provides a basis for the RES-ESS facility owner to be paid for an estimated amount of energy that did not get stored as a result of a grid operator not fully discharging an ESS prior to the start of a new day.

Circuit for a power device and graphical user interface

An apparatus for a system power device utilized in an interconnected power system. The interconnected power system may include multiple system power devices connected to various inter connections of groups of direct currents (DC) from power sources which also may be connected in various series, parallel, series parallel and parallel series combinations for example. The apparatus may include a processor connected to a memory and a communication interface operatively attached to the processor. The communication interface may be adapted to connect to a mobile computing system of a user in close proximity to the system power devices. A graphical user interface (GUI) of the mobile computing system may allow various operational and re-configuration options for the interconnected power system which may include installation, maintenance and monitoring schedules in the interconnected power system when the user of the GUI is in close proximity to the system power devices.

Provided is an power and communications network convergence system including wireless base stations, and DC grid groups, each grid group belonging to a cell. Each grid in the grid group has a DC line to which devices including a power generator and a power storage are connected, and performs, based on state information on each device, first control for reducing power fluctuations in the line. A first grid belonging to a cell performs, based on state information on each grid, second control for interchanging power with a second grid belonging to the cell. If a power situation of a first grid group belonging to a first cell and a power situation of a second grid group belonging to a second cell satisfy a preset condition, the first grid group performs third control for interchanging power with the second grid group.
