Transverse handle assembly for a valve
A handle assembly configured to control water flow through a faucet valve. The handle assembly includes an output shaft rotatable about a first axis and configured to be operatively coupled to the valve; an input shaft rotatable about a second axis that is configured substantially transverse to the first axis, the input shaft configured to engage the output shaft to rotate the output shaft upon rotation of the input shaft; a handle coupled to the input shaft and configured to rotate the input shaft upon rotation of the handle about the second axis; and a saddle interconnecting the input shaft and the output shaft. The saddle includes a body having a channel that supports one of the input shaft and the output shaft, and a post extending away from the body and engaging an opening in the other of the input shaft and the output shaft.
Handle alignment adapter for fixed position valve body plumbing fixture applications
A handle assembly for an in-wall plumbing fixture includes a control valve having a rough plumbing attachment interface that is configured to connect to a rough valve. The control valve includes a control stem having a first number of teeth. The assembly includes a lever handle, with a second number of teeth that is different than the first number of teeth, and which is configured for attachment to the control valve. An adapter couples the control stem to the lever handle. The adapter has a set of adapter internal teeth corresponding in number to the first number of teeth and a set of adapter external teeth corresponding in number to the second number of teeth. The adapter can be included in an adjustment kit to align the handle lever.
Industrial plumbing fixture adaptor kit and method
An industrial plumbing fixture adaptor kit for connecting a handle assembly to a water valve and a related method. The kit may be used on a variety of water valves where different spacing exists between the handle and the water valve. The kit includes an adaptor having a conical element and hollow tube. A bushing is mountable between the conical element and external threads of the adaptor, and a handle is threadably attached to the adaptor and received in the bushing for forming a handle assembly. An interchangeable adaptor element is connectable to the water valve. Several interchangeable adaptor elements are provided, each with a different length and a different configured head. The interchangeable adaptor element is affixed to a stem of the water valve and is received in the hollow tube of adaptor when the handle assembly is secured to the fixture trim.
Adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem
The adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem comprises a body, a cap, a plurality of jaws, and a handle. The device may couple to a valve stem of a faucet in place of a valve handle that is missing or broken. The plurality of jaws located within the body may be raised and lowered by rotating the cap relative to the body. A jaw thread on the plurality of jaws may engage a cap thread on the interior of the cap to cause movement of the jaws. The jaws may be included by a jaw inclination angle such that raising or lowering the jaws may cause the lower ends of the jaws to separate or to converge. Convergence of the lower ends of the jaws may allow the jaws to grip a valve stem. A handle may cover the cap to enhance the user's grasp.
STRUCTURAL UNIT
A construction unit (1, 2) forms part of a gas heater and includes a valve (9) which is actuatable by way of a stem (10). The stem (10) includes positive-fit device. The stem (10) is controllable from the outside via a tool which can be brought into engagement with the positive fit device. A detent engagement device (18, 27) holds the tool (21) in engagement with the stem (10), so that the valve is controllable without the aid of outside tools.

Adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem
The adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem is for use in rotating a valve stem of a valve. The adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem incorporates a handle structure and a capture structure. The capture structure attaches to the handle structure. The capture structure forms the working element of the tool formed by the adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem. The handle structure forms the handle of the tool formed by the adjustable handle device for use with a valve stem. The capture structure is a chuck that captures the valve stem. The handle structure rotates the capture structure to: a) tighten and loosen the capture structure to the valve stem; and, b) rotate the valve stem between a closed position and an open position.
