VALVE WITH INTERNAL MEMBER

A valve with an internal member is disclosed which allows exhaled carbon dioxide to escape from a breathing circuit when the circuit gas pressure drops below a threshold pressure. The valve operates by occluding one or more ports under a relatively high pressure and opening the one or more ports under a relatively low pressure. The internal member is attached to the body of the valve at two or more locations on the internal member. The internal member moves in a direction perpendicular to the gas flow through the valve.

The present invention relates to a valve for inflatable apparatuses. The valve comprises a housing, a sealing disc and a handle. The handle is coupled to the sealing disc, and is adapted for rotating the sealing disc within the housing.

VALVE UNIT FOR A PISTON COMPRESSOR AND PISTON COMPRESSOR

A valve unit for a piston compressor includes a housing, in which at least one inlet valve and at least one outlet valve are arranged. The housing includes a first cylinder-head-side surface and a second, cylinder-side surface which is away from the first cylinder-head-side surface. The surfaces extending transversely to a longitudinal axis of the valve unit. A peripheral wall of the housing of the valve unit, and which surrounds the longitudinal axis of the valve unit, includes at least one contact section. The at least one contact section is provided for contact on a contact surface on the cylinder or on the cylinder head and extends obliquely to the longitudinal axis.

An apparatus for use in venting a compartment in a vehicle includes a housing which at least partially defines an air flow passage. A valve element moves from a closed condition to an open condition to enable air to flow through the air flow passage. The valve element has an inner surface facing the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. The valve element has an outer surface opposite the inner surface facing away from the air flow passage when the valve element is in the closed condition. A spring wire deflects as the valve element moves from the closed condition toward the open condition and is effective to urge the valve element toward the closed condition. The spring wire extends in a straight line from the housing to the inner surface of the valve element when the valve element is in the closed condition.

Some embodiments include an assembly with an inlet housing enclosing an outlet housing that includes an inlet. The outlet housing includes an outlet port and a channel or aperture coupled to an outlet and apertures coupled to atmosphere. A moveable or flexible member is positioned in the inlet housing coupled to the outlet housing, and can deform, flex and/or move based on a flow and/or pressure of fluid from the inlet. Based on the flow and/or pressure of fluid from the inlet, the moveable or flexible member can reversibly move from a first position to a second position and/or from a second position to a first position. The first position is characterized by the moveable or flexible member being coupled to, proximate to, sealed to the aperture, and the second position is characterized by the moveable or flexible member being moved away from the aperture.
