Device for providing a constant amount of aerosol
The invention relates to a device (10) for providing an aerosol from an aerosolizable material, the device comprising an aerosolization unit (300) through which pressure pulses of a carrier gas (60) are passed; a reservoir (100) comprising the aerosolizable material and which provides the aerosolizable material to the aerosolization unit (300) where the aerosolizable material is entrained by the carrier gas (60); a material providing valve (210) located between the reservoir (100) and the aerosolization unit (300) which opens in direction of the aerosolization unit (300) and which is opened and closed by a pressure difference between the reservoir (100) and the aerosolization unit (300) and which provides, in an open state, the aerosolizable material to the aerosolization unit (300).
Anti-asphyxia valve assembly
A valve assembly (12) includes a first housing (22), a diaphragm member (24) having a plurality of individually pivotable sealing members (50), and a second housing (26) coupled to the end of the first housing over the diaphragm member. The second housing has a plurality of ports (78) spaced about the second member. The diaphragm member is structured to actuate between (i) a first state wherein the sealing members substantially seal the end of the first housing responsive to a pressure within the first housing being below a certain level, each of the ports being open in the first state, and (ii) a second state wherein the sealing members pivot away from and do not substantially seal the end of the first housing responsive to a pressure in the first housing being at or above the certain level, each sealing member substantially sealing a respective one of the ports in the second state.
Incontinence device with atmospheric equilibrium valve assembly
A male external incontinence device comprising a drainage tube assembly having a proximal chamber in fluid communication with a drainage tube, the proximal chamber comprising an atmospheric equilibrium valve assembly. The atmospheric equilibrium valve assembly has an airway conduit with a upper portion in fluid communication with the proximal chamber, and a lower portion having an air inlet chamber. A one-way air valve disposed in the airway conduit above the air inlet chamber, the one-way air valve comprising a first pair of opposing walls disposed at a first set of opposing angles such that the first pair of opposing walls abut each other at an apex, the apex having a self-sealing slit.
Pneumatic pressure relief test plug
A pneumatic test plug and inflation assembly for the same are provided. The pneumatic test plug may include an inflatable bladder formed by a bladder wall that is elastically deformable, the bladder wall having at least one open end. A housing may be disposed in the open end of the bladder wall, the housing having a mounting surface. An inflation valve may be mounted to the mounting surface, with the inflation valve having an interior end in fluid communication with an interior area of the bladder. The inflation valve may define a main air passageway through which air is introduced into the interior area. The mounting surface may be recessed into the interior area of the bladder relative to the open end in the bladder wall such that the housing defines a cavity within the inflatable bladder.
