Multiple action forced fluid evacuation system
A multiple action forced fluid evacuation system includes a reservoir for receiving a working fluid therein, and a shutoff valve provided in the reservoir. An outer rigid conduit and an inner flexible conduit are connected between the shutoff valve and a receiver. A processing module is provided for at least controlling pressurized gas between the outer conduit and the inner conduit, and is operatively connected to the outer conduit and the inner conduit. A nozzle has one end in fluid communication with a source of the working fluid, and an opposite end removably coupled to the receiver. The nozzle normally enables flow of the working fluid through the inner conduit to the reservoir when the nozzle is connected to the receiver until the working fluid in the reservoir activates the shutoff valve causing the nozzle to cease flow of the working fluid leaving a portion of the working fluid trapped in the receiver and the inner conduit. Removal of the nozzle from the receiver activates the processing module and causes the portion of the working fluid trapped in the inner conduit and the receiver to be completely and sequentially evacuated into the reservoir.
Peristaltic positive displacement pump apparatus
A pump apparatus (1) comprises a pump head (2) and a container (20) for a liquid to be dispensed. The pump head (2) has a flexible dispensing tube (4) in fluid connection with the inside of the container (20). The fluid connection between the dispensing tube (4) and the inside of the container (20) is provided by a supply tube (28) which co-operates with the dispensing tube (4) to provide a non-return valve function. An end (48) of the supply tube (28) is disposed within an end of the dispensing tube (4) and the non-return valve function is provided by a hole (46) through a side wall of the supply tube (28) in a region where the dispensing tube (4) overlaps the supply tube, whereby the dispensing tube (4) provides a seal over the hole (46) to prevent ingress of fluid when the internal pressure is lower than the external pressure. Another aspect of the invention provides a container (20) for use in the pump apparatus.
Odor trap device
An odor-trap device (1) for in particular flushing-water-free sanitary devices, for example urinals, comprises an outflow element (2) with a sealing wall (3), and also comprises a sealing membrane (4), which is in sealing contact with the sealing wall (3) in a closure position and, in the presence of a liquid, such as urine, is pushed away from the sealing wall (3) from the closure position into an open position, as a result of which a gap (19) is formed between the sealing membrane (4) and sealing wall (3), it being possible for the liquid to be led away through said gap, and further comprises a mounting element (5) for mounting the sealing membrane (4) in relation to the sealing wall (3). The odor-trap device (1) is characterized in that the seating membrane (4) has a seating surface (6) which runs substantially parallel to the sealing wall (3), wherein the sealing surface (6) butts against the sealing wall (3) substantially with surface-area contact, or wherein the sealing surface (6) is spaced apart from the sealing wall (3) such that the liquid film which is present, at least in part, between the sealing wall (3) and the sealing surface (6) provides a force of adhesion between the sealing wall (3) and seating surface (6).
