Apparatuses and methods for making absorbent articles
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for controlling the relative placement of advancing substrates and discrete components in diaper converting lines. The diapers may each include a chassis connected with front and back elastic belts. In controlling the relative placement of these elements during the assembly process, a controller may change the machine direction speed and/or position of certain elements and cross direction speed and/or position of other elements such as the advancing substrates and components in order to help achieve proper placement and orientation. During the assembly process, the registration features are detected, and a controller may change the machine direction speeds of the advancing elastic laminates and/or chassis and/or may change the cross directional and/or machine direction position of the advancing elastic laminates and/or chassis.
Device and method for wafer taping
In accordance with some embodiments, a wafer taping device is provided. The wafer taping device includes a tape delivering along a first direction. The wafer taping device also includes a wafer mount unit disposed below the tape. The wafer mount unit has an upper surface for supporting a wafer and having a notch for allowing a cut mark of the wafer to align with it. The notch is staggered with a second direction in the upper surface, and the second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. In addition, the wafer taping device includes a laminating roller disposed above the wafer mount unit and having a long axis elongated in the second direction. The laminating roller is configured to reciprocate along the first direction for pressing the tape to the wafer.

The method includes obtaining at least first and second layers that each include first and second alignment openings defined therein, disposing adhesive onto the upper surface of the first layer or the bottom surface of the second layer, stacking the second layer on the first layer, aligning the first alignment openings and aligning the second alignment openings, inserting a first alignment rod through the aligned first alignment openings, inserting a second alignment rod through the aligned second alignment openings, allowing the adhesive to dry to form a countertop stack assembly, and machining the countertop stack assembly to remove at least a portion of a surface of the first layer and at least a portion of a surface of the second layer to form a finished countertop assembly.

According to an aspect, a method includes providing a sheet of polymerized siloxane. The method also includes placing the sheet to at least substantially cover a pane of a window of an enclosure. Further, the method includes attaching the placed sheet to the window for providing insulation between an interior of the enclosure and outside of the window.

A method of making a wooden board assembly includes A) determining a scrap portion of a trunk; B) cutting the trunk horizontally to form multiple boards; C) removing narrow scraps and trimmed sections of each of the multiple boards to obtain multiple trimmed wide boards, and cutting narrow board areas from the scrap portion to form multiple peripheral boards; D) removing a part of the scrap portion and two trimmed sections from each of the multiple peripheral boards; E) connecting the multiple trimmed wide boards and the multiple peripheral boards to form a substrate; F) adhering two straps on the substrate to produce a wood pattern assembly; G) cutting the wood pattern assembly to form multiple cut films; H) adhering one of the multiple cut films with a nonwoven fabric with a transparent adhesive and connecting the multiple cut films on a fixing lamination; and I) cutting the fixing lamination.

A Smart Patch comprising a label layer, an adhesive layer, a release liner layer and a RFID inlay, wherein the release liner comprises a separable inner release liner portion and a separable outer release liner portion; and the RFID inlay is adhered to a back surface of the inner release liner portion. The Smart Patches for uses including mounting to tires and other rubber materials. Methods of manufacturing including subjecting a release liner of the label to a die cut slightly larger than the size of an intended RFID inlay to form the separable inner release liner portion and outer release liner portion and applying a RFID inlay to a back surface of a release liner within the die cut inner release liner portion.

Heat sink and method of manufacturing a graphene based heat sink, the method comprising: providing a first and second graphene film; arranging a layer of nanoparticles on a surface of the first and second graphene film to improve an adhesion strength between the graphene films; attaching the second graphene film to the first graphene film by means of an adhesive and the layer of nanoparticles; forming a laminated graphene film comprising a number of graphene film layers by repeating the steps, wherein the laminated graphene film is formed to have an anisotropic thermal conductivity; assembling a plurality of laminated graphene films by applying pressure and heat to cure the adhesive to form a graphene block; and removing selected portions of the graphene block to form a heat sink comprising fins extending from a base plate of the heat sink.

Heat sink and method of manufacturing a graphene based heat sink, the method comprising: providing a first and second graphene film; arranging a layer of nanoparticles on a surface of the first and second graphene film to improve an adhesion strength between the graphene films; attaching the second graphene film to the first graphene film by means of an adhesive and the layer of nanoparticles; forming a laminated graphene film comprising a number of graphene film layers by repeating the steps, wherein the laminated graphene film is formed to have an anisotropic thermal conductivity; assembling a plurality of laminated graphene films by applying pressure and heat to cure the adhesive to form a graphene block; and removing selected portions of the graphene block to form a heat sink comprising fins extending from a base plate of the heat sink.
