SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF APPLYING THERMAL INTERFACE MATERIALS
Disclosed are exemplary embodiments of systems and methods of applying thermal interface materials (TIMs). The thermal interface materials may be applied to a wide range of substrates and components, such as lids or integrated heat spreaders of integrated circuit (IC) packages, board level shields, heat sources (e.g., a central processing unit (CPU), etc.), heat removal/dissipation structures or components (e.g., a heat spreader, a heat sink, a heat pipe, a vapor chamber, a device exterior case or housing, etc.), etc.
Inflatable medical devices
Inflatable medical devices and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. The inflatable medical devices can be medical balloons. The balloons can be configured to have a through-lumen or no through-lumen and a wide variety of geometries. The device can have a high-strength, non-compliant, fiber-reinforced, multi-layered wall. The inflatable medical device can be used for angioplasty, kyphoplasty, percutaneous aortic valve replacement, or other procedures described herein.
Floorboards with decorative grooves
Floorboards which have a core and a surface layer and are provided with decorative joint edges which are formed by removing the surface layer. A method for making a floorboard, or a floor element that is to be divided into at least two floorboards, the method including making a core from a sheet shaped material, from which a part of a locking system for vertical locking of the floorboards is to be formed, impregnating and/or staining the core surface with a substance at least in portions which in the completed floorboard will constitute a joint edge of the completed floorboard, and arranging an surface layer on the core surface.
Machine for welding profiled elements
The machine (1) for welding profiled elements comprises: a base frame (2); two retaining members (3, 4) of respective profiled elements (5) made at least partly of plastic and an area to be welded (6), the retaining members (3, 4) being mounted on the base frame (2) and defining a first retaining axis (A) and a second retaining axis (B) forming an angle of welding (7), and along which the profiled elements (5) can be fastened; removal means (8) of material from the profiled elements (5) to make a machining on the area to be welded (6) of the profiled elements (5); heat sealing means (9) mounted on the base frame (2) and adapted to weld the areas to be welded (6) of the profiled elements (5); adjusting means (10) of the angle of welding (7) adapted to move at least one of the retaining members (3, 4) to incline at least one of the first retaining axis (A) and the second retaining axis (B) to change the angle of welding (7); sliding means (11) of the retaining members (3, 4), mounted on the base frame (2) and adapted to move the retaining members (3, 4) in mutual approach or moving away without changing the angle of welding (7).
Method for producing polymer coated steel sheet for 3-piece cans and use thereof
A method for producing polymer coated steel sheet for 3-piece cans and 3-piece cans produced thereof.
Adhesive frame
An adhesive frame includes a clear flexible sheet member with an optional printed ink layer disposed on a border of a first side of the clear flexible sheet member. A semi-permanent adhesive layer is disposed on a second side of the clear flexible sheet member at the border of the clear flexible sheet member. No adhesive is disposed in the middle of the adhesive frame, either through using a patterned adhesive or through use of a liner. Such adhesive frames allow for quick and easy mounting of visual media on nearly any surface. Media can be quickly removed and replaced from underneath the adhesive frame because of the lack of adhesive in the middle portion of the adhesive frame.
CNC machine assembly
An assembly for producing cabinet doors including a CNC machine provided with a porous worktable, means for positioning workpieces thereon, means for applying a vacuum to such porous worktable for adhering such workpieces thereto and means for machining such workpieces adhered to such worktable; and means for thermally deforming a thermally pliable foil to laminate such workpiece.
Sport ball casing and methods of manufacturing the casing
A sport ball may include a casing and a bladder located within the casing. The casing may include a plurality of panel elements joined to each other with welds, and portions of the panel elements that include the welds may project toward an interior of the ball. A method of manufacturing a sport ball may include providing a plurality of casing elements that include a thermoplastic polymer material. Edges of the casing elements are welded to each other to join the casing elements. The casing elements may then be turned inside-out through an aperture formed by at least one of the casing elements, and the aperture may be sealed.
Inflatable bladders for use in footwear and other articles of manufacture
The present invention is a method for manufacturing inflatable bladders for use in articles of manufacture. The method includes the steps of providing a first polymer film, applying a curable release coating to the polymer film in a pattern that corresponds to the configuration of the inflatable bladder, curing the release coating to the first polymer film, providing a second polymer film with the first polymer film to form a layered element such that the release coating is disposed between the polymer films, positioning the layered element between two plies of material, applying heat and pressure to adhere the polymer films together except in the area where the release coating has been applied to form an inflatable compartment surrounded by a sealed perimeter, and removing the plies of material from the adhered first and second polymer films.
Wrinkle free geometric opening in a vacuum insulated panel
At least one puck is used to manufacture a vacuum insulated panel with a shaped opening. A pair of barrier films are positioned about an insulated core having a shaped opening such as a through bore, cutout, or relief. The puck includes a protrusion having a shape similar to that of the opening of the insulated core. With the barrier films positioned about the insulated core, the pucks are inserted into the opening from opposite sides of the insulated core to thereby compress the barrier films between the shaped protrusions of the pucks to thereby prevent wrinkles and/or creases in the barrier films. The insulated core is then subjected to a vacuum to evacuate the insulated core of any gases and the barrier films are heat sealed to maintain the insulated core in the evacuated state. Excess barrier film is then removed to provide a wrinkle and/or crease free seal.
