LABELLING GROUP AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A PLURALITY OF LABELS ONTO RESPECTIVE ARTICLES
There is disclosed a labelling group for advancing a series of labels to be applied onto relative articles. In one implementation, the labelling group may include a first drum adapted to convey a strip of labels along a first path and towards a transfer station; a cutting mechanism adapted to cut a sequence of single labels from the strip; a second drum fed by first drum with cut single labels at the transfer station and adapted to convey simultaneously a required number of cut single labels along a second path. The first drum may move at a first tangential speed at the transfer station, and the second drum may move at a second tangential speed at the transfer station, where the first tangential speed is different from the second tangential speed and is adjusted on the basis of required number of cut labels to be simultaneously conveyed on second drum.
Method and apparatus for removing unattached labels from a label applicator system
A device for removing labels from a label applicator in a produce labeling system is provided. The device includes a label pickup roller positioned in the downstream path of the label applicator. A spindle is positioned on the machine such that the label pickup roller can be positioned as described. When a label attempted to be applied to produce from the label applicator does not get applied for any reason, the pickup roller removes this unapplied label from the label applicator before the label applicator travels back to the label dispenser to receive another label for the next labeling cycle.
Labelling group and method for applying a plurality of labels onto respective articles

Fibrous product and method and apparatus for making the product
A nonwoven fibrous insulation product has at least a bi-modal fiber diameter distribution designed to provide the product with selected thermal insulating and physical performance properties that are affected by fiber diameter such as rigidity and recovery properties. The product is made by: forming two or more fiber groupings that each have a selected fiber diameter distribution with a selected mean fiber diameter wherein the selected fiber diameter distributions of the fiber groupings differ from each other. The fibers of the fiber groupings are intermingled and entangled together in selected percentages by weight to form a product with a selected density and thickness that exhibits selected product performance properties based on the properties of the fiber groupings and the relative percentages by weight of the fiber groupings.
Machine and method for carrying out one operation on articles
A machine for carrying out at least one operation onto a first article and a second article is disclosed. The machine comprises feeding means for advancing a succession of the first article and the second article along a path and with a first speed; a first operative group, which comprises a first tool configured for carrying out operation onto the first article and which can be operated with a second speed associated to the first speed; gap creating means selectively controllable to create a first gap, which is arranged inside succession and is bounded between the first article and the second article; and a second operative group, which comprises a second tool configured for carrying out operation onto the second article and which can be operated at the second speed.
BEVERAGE BOTTLING PLANT HAVING AN INFORMATION ADDING STATION FOR ADDING INFORMATION TO BOTTLES AND A METHOD OF OPERATING A BEVERAGE BOTTLING PLANT INFORMATION ADDING STATION
A beverage bottling plant having an information adding station for adding information to bottles and a method of operating a beverage bottling plant information adding station. The abstract of the disclosure is submitted herewith as required by 37 C.F.R. 1.72(b). As stated in 37 C.F.R. 1.72(b): A brief abstract of the technical disclosure in the specification must commence on a separate sheet, preferably following the claims, under the heading Abstract of the Disclosure. The purpose of the abstract is to enable the Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and gist of the technical disclosure. The abstract shall not be used for interpreting the scope of the claims. Therefore, any statements made relating to the abstract are not intended to limit the claims in any manner and should not be interpreted as limiting the claims in any manner.
Apparatus for forming packaging units
A handling apparatus includes a container input, a furnishing carousel, a furnishing module, an application element, and a grouping device. The furnishing carousel rotates about a central axis and has the furnishing module and application element nearby. The furnishing module applies a furnishing feature to a surface of a container, and the application element applies adhesive to the container on a surface outside that surface of a container that is provided with a furnishing feature. The grouping device, which is either a compartmenting or compacting device, is immediately after the furnishing carousel and/or an outlet apparatus. The grouping device groups, compacts, or temporary presses together containers. The container input is either a single-track container feed, a multi-track container feed, a single-track container stream, or a multi-track container stream.
Automated labeling apparatus using labels having a fluid activatable adhesive
An apparatus and method is described herein for automatically labeling using labels having a fluid activatable adhesive along the back surface of such label. The apparatus has multiple pallets each being positionable with the lowermost label of a stack of one or more labels to releasably secure by suction the label against the pallet, and multiple pads each being positionable with respect to pallets to receive labels from the pallets and then releasably retain such labels until application onto containers. Fluid for activating adhesive is applied by an applicator onto labels retained upon the pad to change the fluid activatable adhesive along the label's back surface from a non-tacky state to a tacky state just prior to application of the label onto container.
Vacuum transfer cylinder with suction bar circuit
The invention relates to a labelling device for attaching labels to containers, comprising: at least one unrolling device for a label strip; at least one cutting tool for cutting the label strip into individual labels; a vacuum transfer cylinder for transferring the labels onto the containers, wherein the vacuum transfer cylinder has a plurality of movable vacuum suction for suctioning, conveying and transferring the labels, wherein at least one vacuum suction bar is assigned to each label to be transported; at least one bar controller for controlling the movement of the vacuum suction bars, wherein the bar controller comprises at least one control cam which, in cooperation with at least one control roller of a vacuum suction bar, controls the movement of the respective vacuum suction bar.
