Method for installing a pulling head assembly
A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.
Multistage plunger press systems and methods with interlocking fingers for forming battery cell tabs
Presented are metalworking systems for forming metallic workpieces, methods for making such workpieces and methods for operating such systems, and battery cell tabs bent by a multistage plunger press. A metalworking system includes a plunger fixture that mounts adjacent metallic workpieces, and a plunger head movably mounted to the plunger fixture to move between activated and deactivated positions. A first row of plunger fingers is mounted to the plunger head and moves in one direction to press against and bend one metallic workpiece a predefined bend angle. Likewise, a second row of plunger fingers is mounted to the plunger head and moves in an opposite direction to press against and bend another metallic workpiece another predefined bend angle. The plunger head then moves to the activated position, in tandem with the plunger fingers bending the metallic workpieces, to cause the plunger fingers to bend the workpieces additional respective bend angles.
Crimp die set
A die set for crimping operations includes first and second die members having raised areas including a plurality of knurls and character areas. The die set combining knurls and character areas on the operative areas of the die members allows a single die set to be used to condition a surface for crimping operations as well as crimping connectors and marking them with relevant indicia without having to change die sets.
Cable Connector Accessory Assemblies and Methods for Connecting Cables to Cable Connector Accessories
Methods for connecting cables and cable connector accessories include inserting an end portion of the cable into a bore defined in a main body of the cable connector accessory, the cable connector accessory formed from an aluminum. Methods further include detonating an explosive, the explosive comprising a detonation cord surrounding an outer surface of the main body of the connector accessory. Detonation of the explosive compresses the main body around the end portion of the cable.

Electrolyte sensor and method for producing thereof
Provided is an electrolyte sensor that uses conductive elastomer electrodes. Examples of the intended analytes for sensor use include those found in urine, saliva, blood, feces, and spinal fluid, although other analytes exist for electrolyte detection. Conductive elastomer trace electrodes are separated by a channel or gap which can be bridged by an electrolyte and thereby complete an electrical circuit to an alarm or other circuitry. Channel or gap distances vary the level of electrical resistance associated with detecting certain analytes.
Terminal crimping machine
A terminal crimping machine includes a machine body and a cable diameter fitting mechanism. The machine body includes an installation portion, an adjustment member and a driven member. The driven member is driven by the adjustment member and includes a driven alignment portion. The cable diameter fitting mechanism includes an assembly portion corresponding to the driven alignment portion. The driven member is driven by the adjustment member to move with the adjustment of the adjustment member, and the driven alignment portion moves along with the driven member. The cable diameter fitting mechanism is installed on the installation portion, and the assembly portion is assembled corresponding to the driven alignment portion during the installation process. Accordingly, the terminal crimping machine can achieve the effect of simple and convenient operation.
Crimping pliers with quick replaceable jaws
The present disclosure provides crimping pliers with quick replaceable jaws, comprising: a crimping pliers body and a jaw; the crimping pliers body comprises a handle; the clamping end of the handle is provided with a groove, the groove is equipped with a fixed block, a guide block and a button, the central section of the button is rotated on the fixed block and one end is used to clamp the front end face of the jaw; the fixed block is provided with a blind hole, and a push-eject spring is placed inside the blind hole; the end of the push-eject spring is in contact with the rear end face of the jaw; the jaw uses the clamping force of button to compress push-eject spring, and simultaneously is in contact with the guide block, the fixed block and the inner wall of the groove.
Method of forming an electrical connector
An electrical connector for a composite core conductor and a method of controlling crimping thereof includes a coupling portion and a tubular portion extending from the coupling portion. A conductor has a non-metallic core surrounded by electrically conductive strands and has a connecting portion of the core extending axially beyond the strands. The connecting portion is received in the tubular portion. A crimped portion on the tubular portion radially engages the connecting portion and secures the conductor to the tubular portion. The crimped portion is formed by concave surfaces on internal surfaces of crimping dies. The concave surfaces have different radii of curvature than remaining portions of the internal surfaces.
