Anti-kickback clutch for starter gear
In a permanently engaged starter system (20), a one-way clutch (40) is located between a starter motor (21) and a starter gear (54) for initiating the start of an internal combustion engine. The clutch (40) can include a starter gear (54), an outer race (56), an inner race (60), a roller cage (42) supporting a plurality of roller disks (46), and at least one spring (52). The roller cage (42) can include an enlarged inertia ring supported adjacent to a radially outwardly located peripheral edge (50) for retarding rotational movement of the roller cage (42) relative to the inner race (60) in response to acceleration of the starter motor (21). The spring (52) biases the roller cage (42) relative to the inner race (60) toward a disengaged clutch position, such that the plurality of roller disks (46) engage the inner race (60) and are spaced from the outer race surface (56).
Pivot linking device and method for linking mechanical parts
A device including a ball, cage housing the ball and a centering lug, wherein the centering lug has a generally annular form with a radially outer annular periphery and a radially inner annular periphery, the outer annular periphery is integral with the cage and the inner annular periphery is inserted in a groove in the outer periphery of the ball, and the centering lug is elastic and arranged to hold the ball along a predefined axis in a rest position.
Instrumented bearing and method to manufacture such a bearing
An instrumented rolling bearing, comprising an outer ring and an inner ring having a rolling bearing chamber delimited therebetween. Rolling bodies are positioned in the rolling bearing chamber while being maintained by a rolling bearing cage. The rolling bearing further comprises a measuring device including at least one sensor suitable for measuring at least one operating parameter of the instrumented rolling bearing, the measuring device being at least partially integrated into the rolling bearing chamber bearing cage. The measuring device further comprises at least one cable or antenna that extends along the rolling bearing cage in the rolling bearing chamber. A method for manufacturing one such instrumented rolling bearing is also disclosed.
Ball bearing with integrated bushing
A bearing including: an inner race; an outer race arranged to rotate freely relative to the inner race by a first plurality of rolling elements and including a circumferentially disposed channel arranged on a first radially outermost surface of the outer race; a cage located in the circumferentially disposed channel and including a first plurality of apertures; and a second plurality of rolling elements disposed in the first plurality of apertures.
Bearing configuration with two-row polygonal bearing
A bearing configuration for the purpose of mounting a shaft or axle in a housing in a manner allowing rotation. The bearing configuration has a rolling bearing designed as a roller bearing with at least one bearing ring which is functionally assigned to the housing, said bearing ring forming an outer race facing inward radially, wherein rolling elements are guided on said outer race, working together on the opposite side with a shaft which forms an inner race. The roller bearing of the bearing configuration is a combination of at least two joined polygonal bearings, wherein each polygonal bearing on the bearing ring includes at least one elastic segment which forms a convex, transversely rounded race curvature. This configuration ensures that at least one rolling element is radially pretensioned and supported on the outer race of the shaft, and the shaft is guided in the housing with no radial play.
Fiber sensor assembly
A bearing which includes a bearing ring and rolling elements. The bearing ring includes an outer surface, having a groove around a circumference of the outer surface, wherein the groove is adapted to accommodate a fiber sensor. The bearing further comprises a clamping element, wherein the clamping element retains the fiber sensor with a clamping force acting in a radial direction of the bearing ring such that the fiber sensor intimately engages the bearing ring. Due to the clamping force, relative movement of the fiber sensor can be reduced.
