A system and method for replacing a sealing arrangement of a grid coupling without removing or disturbing a mechanical connection of the coupling with driver and driven shafts connected to the coupling includes providing combined seal members having gasket seal portions that are integrally formed with radial seal portions and that are disposed between portions of the housing and the rotating seal group of the grid coupling.

A knife is provided that includes a replaceable blade element. The knife employs a blade carrier that is fixedly interconnected to or foldable with respect to a handle. The blade carrier selectively receives the replaceable blade element that is locked into the blade carrier by way of a blade release mechanism by biasing an associated spring that is further associated with a blade release button. Methods are disclosed for replacing expired or unserviceable aircraft emergency slides (“slides”) in an aircraft. The disclosed methods utilize containers that are configured to securely retain both unserviceable slides and serviceable slides at different times in different configurations as installation tools. The container can be placed on an aircraft through the main door of the aircraft, and are further configured to be easily transported within the aircraft from a staging area of the aircraft to a slide installation and removal point at either the main door or an emergency exit door of the aircraft. The containers can be aligned with the installation and removal point to facilitate replacing an unserviceable slide with a new, serviceable slide. The disclosed methods and containers improve personnel safety concerning lifting and handling of the slides, which are heavy. The containers and methods disclosed herein further facilitate positioning of the slides near installation and removal points and properly orienting the slides, while reducing awkward handling situations for personnel.

A filter assembly includes a canister housing closable by a lid and containing a removable and replaceable filter element cartridge. The lid is part of the filter element cartridge and a single unitary component therewith, such that removal of the filter element cartridge also removes the lid, and replacement of the filter element cartridge also replaces the lid.

A modular repair kit for repairing damaged pallet rack frames and a method of installation thereof which incudes modular elements that can be customized by mechanical process such as cutting, drilling and connecting, for example, by bolts, that avoids major modifications, such as welding, at the installation site. The modular repair kit utilizes a standard replacement post assembly that can be cut to fit into nearly any size gap that is created when the damaged portion of the pallet rack frame is removed. The remaining elements of the repair kit can then be customized to accommodate any size of the standard replacement post assembly.

A vehicle windshield triangulation assembly (11), and triangulation method using it with a railing (22) fixed to a vehicle (16) via sliding/rotatable/orientation-adjustable/height-adjustable mounts (18). A sliding seat (21) on railing (22) receives the telescoping end (1) of assembly (11) after its two connected 360-degree rotation swivel clamps (7), each having a suction cup (8), are secured against the old windshield's (17) exterior surface. Assembly (11) triangulation transfers to a new/replacement windshield (17) by releasing suction cups (8) and pairing them in the same manner with the new/replacement windshield (17), and making needed height adjustment to a top stop (12/13) and the swivel clamp (7) remote from top stop (12/13). The telescoping end (1) of assembly (11) is then engaged with sliding seat (21), allowing one person to easily and accurately move the new windshield (17) into the same positioning of the old windshield (17). This triangulation method accommodates windshields (17) having any size and curvature, and installation of windshields (17) occurs without a dry set step, measuring, templating, or educated guessing being required.

A coupling is disclosed for connecting rotating components of a generator and a prime mover in a power generation system. The coupling comprises a hub, a coupling flange and an elastomeric component located between the hub and the coupling flange. The elastomeric component is removable radially from the coupling.

A viscous clutch head may be replaced by selecting a viscous clutch head and a mount adapter. The viscous clutch head and the mount adapter may be selected from a group of universal modular fan drives and from a group of mount adapters. The mount adapter of a threaded type or a flange and bolt type may be selected. Depending on the viscous clutch head to be replaced, a fan adapter and/or a pilot adapter may also be selected from a group of fan adapters and from a group of pilot adapters. Accordingly, a range of models of viscous fan clutch systems may be replaced by using a limited number of parts. These parts may be stored on a tool cart. As different models of viscous fan clutch systems may be replaced using a limited number of parts, the in-stock inventory of replacement parts may be reduced.
