Motor vehicle lock
The invention relates to a lock for a door, comprising a catch and a pawl. The catch can be in an open or closed position. The catch may be brought into holding engagement with a lock striker. The pawl may be brought into an engagement position. The pawl may be deflected into a release position, to release the catch. A pawl actuation lever can deflect the pawl into the release position. A switchable coupling arrangement is provided between the pawl actuation lever and the pawl. The switchable coupling arrangement may be brought into a closing and an opening state. When the actuation movement of the pawl actuation lever surpasses a threshold, an inertial characteristic of the lock causes the switchable coupling arrangement to switch into the opening state such that the pawl actuation lever runs without deflecting the pawl into its release state.
High visibility hook latch
A high visibility hook latch may include a hook arm having a proximal end and a distal end; a handle pivotably attached to the proximal end of the hook arm; and a connector having a first connector end pivotably attached to the distal end of the hook arm via a link and a second connector end pivotably attached to the handle proximate to the hook arm.
LEVER-LOCK RELEASE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A lever-lock release system is configured to releasably couple two objects together, for example a parachute and a payload. The lever-lock release system may comprise a first lever and a second lever, each rotatably coupled to a rigid base. When activated, the levers cascadingly rotate to release a first object and a second object. With these systems and related methods, various failure modes may be eliminated, such as undesired premature deployment of recovery parachutes during aerial delivery.

Pressing type latch device
A pressing type latch device includes a seat, a pivotal seat mounted in the seat, and a handle having a grasping portion pivotably connected to two eccentric locations of the pivotal seat, such that a greater operational height can be formed when the handle is lifted. When the latch device is in one of a plurality of retainable open positions or a retainable closed position, the grasping portion of the handle can be moved to a position to lift the pivotal seat, such that the grasping portion of the handle lies flush with the pivotal seat. On the other hand, when the grasping portion of the handle is lifted to move the pivotal seat downward, the handle and the pivotal seat can rotate freely. Since the latch device includes a closed position and a plurality of open positions, the latch device can be installed and used more easily.
Actuating system for an actuatable door and an actuatable door having such an actuating system
An actuating system for an actuatable door that comprises at least one latching device with a latching hook that is adapted for locking the actuatable door in a closed position, the latching hook being pivotally mounted to an associated pivot bearing and connected to a pivotable mechanical transmission element via a coupling link, which is pivotally mounted to the latching hook and to the pivotable mechanical transmission element, the pivotable mechanical transmission element being coupled to a rotatable latching shaft, wherein rotation of the rotatable latching shaft in operation results in pivoting of the pivotable mechanical transmission element and pivoting of the latching hook around the associated pivot bearing, wherein the pivotable mechanical transmission element is mounted onto the rotatable latching shaft. The invention is further related to an actuatable door having such an actuating system.
Power driven vehicle latch with non-uniform gears
A vehicle latch is disclosed herein, the vehicle latch, having: a first gear with a first gear pitch radius that reduces from a first gear tooth to an ending gear tooth; a second gear with a second gear pitch radius that increases from a first gear tooth to an ending gear tooth, the second gear being rotatably mounted to the latch for movement about a second gear axis; and wherein rotation of the second gear causes a claw of the latch to move from a first position to a second position, the second position corresponding to a closed state of the latch.
