Motorized movable strike for a vehicle door
A motorized moveable strike assembly is provided for a vehicle door. The assembly includes a strike on the door post which is moveable by an electric motor between extended and retracted positions. A latch on the door releasably engages the strike. A switch in the latch sends a signal to the controller to actuate the motor after the latch is engaged so as to retract the strike from the extended position to fully close the door. When the latch is disengaged from the strike, the latch switch sends a signal to controller to actuate the motor so as to extend the strike from the retracted position to the extended position as to prepare for the next door closing.
Self-aligning modular latch
A container is disclosed that has a housing and a lid. The lid has a planar portion and a latch that is freely movable parallel to the planar portion of the lid. The latch has a retention feature and a first reference surface that is perpendicular to the planar portion of the lid. There is a latch mechanism coupled to the housing that has an engagement element configured to engage the retention feature of the latch and a first alignment feature having a first alignment surface. The first alignment feature is configured to laterally displace the latch in a first direction such that the first reference surface aligns with the first alignment surface when the lid is brought together with the housing with the fastener laterally displaced away from the engagement element in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction.
LATCH LOCK AND HOME APPLIANCE INCLUDING THE SAME
A lock including a latch provided at one of a door and a cabinet, and a coupler provided at the other one of the door and the cabinet, the coupler including a housing including a latch insertion hole, an engaging lever including an engaging lever body rotatably provided within the housing, a latch insertion groove having a first end of the latch inserted therein by extending from a first end of the engaging part body, and first, second, third, and fourth projections formed by extending a second end of the engaging lever body.

Double latch assembly for a motor vehicle
A double latch assembly for a motor vehicle having two pivotably mounted closure members is disclosed in which a power cinch mechanism is used to ensure first and second claws are moved and held in a second fully locked position.
Striker for use in latch assembly
A striker assembly includes a housing, a striker, and a spring. The housing has opposed sidewalls, each of which defines an aperture. The striker extends between the sidewalls of the housing with end portions of the striker positioned within respective apertures defined in the sidewalls. Each of the pair of end portions defines a surface extending in a transverse direction. The spring has a pair of end portions. Each spring end portion contacts the surface of a respective striker end portion. The spring is engaged with the housing to bias the end portions of the striker toward a centered position of the respective apertures. At least one of the end portions of the striker is movable transversely within the respective aperture away from the centered position of the respective aperture and is biased toward the centered position of the respective aperture.
Closure assembly that is laterally movable for selective locking
A surgical device comprising: a closure assembly including: (a) a movement unit including: a bar that moves in a direction of a prescribed motion; (b) a latch unit including: (i) a latch plate including a hook latch that selectively receives the bar, the latch plate being movable in the direction of the prescribed motion between (A) a lockable state where the hook latch is engageable by the bar of the movement unit, and (B) an unlockable state where the bar does not reach the hook latch or the hook latch is moved out of alignment with the prescribed motion so that the hook latch is not engaged by the bar; and (ii) a stop that restricts movement of the movement unit relative to the hook latch.

Door strike having a kicker and an adjustable dead latch release
An actuator-controlled strike comprising a housing disposable within a doorframe and including a cavity for a spring latch and a dead latch of a mortise-type lockset. A keeper is pivotably mounted within the chamber to engage the spring latch. A pivotably mounted kicker cooperates with the keeper. A pivotably mounted dead latch release is supported by the keeper when the spring latch is within the strike. The keeper is released by the actuator and rotates into a position to ramp the spring latch out of the strike, also allowing the dead latch release to release the dead latch into the cavity, allowing the spring latch to be ramped out of the strike. Pivoting the keeper causes the kicker to urge the spring latch onto an exit ramp on a face of the keeper. The dead latch release can be installed in a plurality of different locations in the housing.
