Assembly unit with an assembly piece and a welding element, and method of producing the assembly unit
A mounting unit includes a mounting part for a mating surface of a basic structure which cannot be welded to the mounting part and a welding element fixed in a through-bore of the mounting part. The welding element corresponds to the bore and has a thickness at least as large as the mounting part. An annular groove is formed in the welding element. A part of the welding element bounding the groove on the outside forms a form-locking connection element expanded outward and fixing the welding element in the bore by a form-locking connection toward the mounting side. A central region radially within the annular groove is a welding surface for the mating surface, is aligned with or protrudes beyond a mounting-side edge region of the bore with an overhang and is aligned with or projects over the form-locking connection element. A production method is also provided.
COMPOSITE PRODUCT WITH JUNCTION STRUCTURE
A composite product having a junction structure includes a first unit formed of a composite material, a first connector formed of a metal and provided with one end inserted into one end of the first unit and formed integrally with the first unit and another end extending outwards from the first unit, a second unit formed of a composite material, and a second connector formed of a metal and provided with one end inserted into one end of the second unit and formed integrally with the second unit and another end extending outwards from the second unit, wherein the other end of the first connector and the other end of the second connector are joined and fixed by welding under a condition that the ends of the first unit and the second unit are opposite each other adjacently.
Hybrid tension/transverse compression structural joint
A structural joint includes a first compression element and a second compression element. The first and second compression elements each define an exterior profile geometry tailored to accommodate a set of loading conditions. A first structural member with a distal end portion is disposed adjacent the first compression element and a first gap is defined therebetween, and a second structural member with a distal end portion is disposed adjacent the second compression element and a second gap is defined therebetween. A first adhesive fills the first gap and a second adhesive fills the second gap. A joint cover body extends over the distal end portions of the first and second structural members.
FIXATION DEVICE FOR SECURING A LINEAR ELEMENT TO A WORKPIECE
A fixation device for securing a linear element to a workpiece includes a contact component and a fixation component. The contact component typically includes (i) a first contact surface for application to a workpiece and (ii) a first opening for receiving a linear element. The fixation component typically secures a portion of the linear element on a side of the first contact component opposite the first contact surface. The fixation component engages the contact component to prevent passage of the linear element's secured portion through the workpiece when a tension is applied to the linear element in a direction opposite the contact surface.
Component joining structure
There is provided a component joining structure that includes: a resin component; a metal tip that is provided in the resin component by insert molding, and that includes protruding portions that protrude from the resin component; and a metal component that is spot welded to the protruding portions, and that is joined to the resin component by an adhesive agent that is provided in gaps formed, by the protruding portions, between the resin component and the metal component.

Method for producing a component connection and component connection
A component connection has a first component, which consists of a metal material, a ball likewise consisting of a metal material, which is welded to the first component, and a second component which has a through-hole and a collar which projects from a top side of the second component, is bent upwards and extends circumferentially around the through-hole. The two components are joined to each other such that the ball projecting from the first component projects into the through-hole provided in the second component or even partially through the through-hole. The second component is arranged so that the collar protrudes from the first component. The second component is a sandwich component which has a middle layer of a plastic material, the middle layer being located between an upper metal layer and a lower metal layer.
