Drilling safety system
The present disclosure describes and teaches a drill safety system including a magnetic unit, a vacuum unit, and an improved hole saw drill set. The various parts of the drill safety system may be used individually or in combination with one another. The user may use the magnetic unit to surround the drilling site so that metal drill shavings on the drill surface may be collected by the magnetic unit. In addition, the magnetic unit includes a flippable top mechanism, allowing convenient disposal of the debris. The vacuum unit is fitted to the inner surface of the drilling site, collecting debris that fall through. The improved hole saw prevents over-penetrating by the drill, reducing the likelihood of damaging equipments underneath the drill site. This makes the drill particularly suitable for drilling holes during electrical work.
Accessible temporary magnet control for magnetic drill press
A drill press includes a main housing, a base coupled to the main housing and having an electromagnet, a drill unit supported by the main housing for relative movement therewith, a first switch selectively electrically connecting the electromagnet to a power source to energize the electromagnet, and a second switch for selectively interrupting power to the electromagnet.
AUTOMATIC MACHINE AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY DRILLING AND MILLING GLASS SHEETS ARRANGED VERTICALLY
An automatic machine for drilling and milling substantially flat glass sheets includes a machine body; an input conveyor provided with a motorized roller conveyor or roller belt that conveys the glass sheet by its lower edge; an input conveyance surface provided with idle gliding wheels; an output conveyor provided with a motorized roller conveyor or motorized belt that conveys the glass sheet by means of its lower edge; and an output conveyance surface provided with idle gliding wheels. The machine further includes at least one carriage provided with synchronous horizontal motion along the longitudinal axis X2; and at least one pair of working heads provided independently with a synchronous vertical motion for adjustment and feeding along the axes Y1 and Y2, wherein, each head bears a tool provided with rotary motion (cutting) and feeding motion along the axes Z1 and Z2.
Magnet sensing hole driller and method therefor
A portable device to drill holes has a platform. A plurality of wheel sets is coupled to the platform. A drive system is used for driving the plurality of wheels. An attachment mechanism is positioned on an underside of the platform for securing the device to a surface. A control board is used for controlling the operation of the device. A drill spindle assembly is coupled to the platform. A drill feed assembly is coupled to the drill spindle assembly for raising and lowering the drill spindle assembly. A plurality of sensors are operable to sense one or more magnets disposed below the surface. A drive table is used for positioning the drill spindle assembly in an XY plane based on an output of said plurality of sensors.
MAGNETIC TOOL STAND
A magnetic base for supporting a tool having a work piece engagement component relative to a ferromagnetic body, comprising: at least two magnet units having a working face, each unit adapted to be magnetically attached to the ferromagnetic body; and a support structure coupled to the at least two magnet units and including a mounting structure adapted to secure the tool to the support structure, the support structure having a window in or a cut-out extending into an about centric location of the support structure such that the work piece engagement component of the tool may extend from a first side of the support structure to engage the ferromagnetic body located proximate a second side of the support structure, the second side being opposite the first side, the at least two magnet units being positionable so that they can fit onto a flat surface or a curved surface.
Electromagnetic base for magnetic drill press
A magnetic base for coupling a drill press to a ferromagnetic workpiece includes a ferromagnetic body having spaced, substantially parallel first and second rails. Each of the first and second rails includes a flat bottom surface engageable with the ferromagnetic workpiece. A coil is positioned between the first and second rails for generating a holding force on the ferromagnetic workpiece. The coil defines a central axis that is parallel with the bottom surface of each of the first and second rails.
Magnetic base
A magnetic base for an electric machine tool, in particular for a magnetic core drilling machine, having a body in which is accommodated at least one first permanent magnet, the magnetic force of which combines with the magnetic force of at least one second permanent magnet to form a resultant holding force, wherein the at least one second permanent magnet is supported in the body such that it can rotate about a rotation axis through an angle of rotation between a first position in which the resultant holding force of the magnetic base is maximized and a second position in which the resultant holding force of the magnetic base is minimized, and having a controller for rotating the second permanent magnet between the first position and the second position.
