Thermal insulation liners

Provided herein are products, methods, and kits, for use in regulating the temperature of an object. The present invention relates to thermal insulating liners for regulating the temperature of perishable goods or temperature sensitive products. The thermal insulating liners generally may be dimensioned to fit within a container. The thermal insulating liners may be quickly collapsed and reconstructed to improve stackability and diminish the amount of space required to store the thermal insulating liners prior to use.

NANOTUBE AND FINELY MILLED CARBON FIBER POLYMER COMPOSITE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING
20180002512 · 2018-01-04 · ·

Embodiments of the present invention include composite compositions extrusion compounded together comprising a polymer, an amount of nanotubes, and an amount of finely milled carbon fiber having an aspect ratio greater than 1 and less than about 5. The resulting composite materials allow for high carbon loading levels with improved tribological properties including coefficient of friction and wear rates, provides uniform surface resistance with minimal processing sensitivity, retains rheological properties similar to the base resin, and provides isotropic shrink and a reduced coefficient of thermal expansion leading to minimal warp. In general, various articles can be formed that take advantage of the properties of the composite materials incorporating a polymer, carbon nanotubes and finely milled carbon fiber.

Materials for fire protection

A composite material for fire protection comprises: a) an inorganic fibre core comprising inorganic fibres interlocked or entangled to form a coherent body resistant against separation laminated between b) at least two layers of phyllosilicate insulation the material further comprising a barrier integral to the material to hinder ingress of humidity to edges of the inorganic fibre core.

System and method for improving thermoset-thermoplastic interface adhesion

Illustrative examples of forming and using suitably adapted materials for improving interface strength between thermoset-thermoplastic joined parts includes exposure of a thermoplastic substrate to a plasma to form an amine-functionalized substrate having amine chemical moieties disposed on a first surface. The first surface of the thermoplastic substrate is positioned adjacent to and contacts a second surface of a thermoset substrate to form a workpiece. The thermoset substrate includes epoxide chemical moieties on and within material forming the thermoset substrate. The workpiece is subsequently heated to form a structure, where heating of the workpiece causes covalent chemical bonds to form between the plasma-treated first surface of the thermoplastic substrate and the second surface of the thermoset substrate. Thereafter, additional thermoplastic components can be fusion bonded to a surface of the thermoplastic substrate opposite the first surface—thereby providing improved attachment of additional thermoplastic components to the thermoset substrate.

Polymeric materials

A preform for a container comprises a polymer composition which includes tungsten oxide particles, for example WO.sub.2.72 or WO.sub.2.92.

Biphasic collagen membrane or capsule for guided tissue regeneration

A biocompatible, resorbable biphasic collagen membrane having a first area of relatively higher tensile strength and stiffness and lower porosity and a second area of relatively lower tensile strength and stiffness and higher porosity, and a method of manufacturing the such a membrane.

Polyester-carbamate polymer and coating compositions thereof

A polyester-carbamate polymer and coating compositions containing the polymer are provided. The polyester-carbamate polymer preferably includes a polyester-carbamate backbone and one or more blocked isocyanate groups. A coating composition is provided that preferably includes the polyester-carbamate polymer and a thermoplastic dispersion. In a preferred embodiment, the coating composition is an organosol.

A covering cap, in particular for placing on a skin analyzer, contains an end wall bounded by a circumferential edge, and a circumferential wall adjoining the circumferential edge of the end wall. At least one part of the covering cap has a thickness that is less than a thickness of the circumferential wall in a portion of the circumferential wall that lies in the region or end of the circumferential wall remote from the end wall. The end wall is of a gas-permeable configuration.

NIR-inert substrates comprising bis-oxodihydroindolylen-benzodifuranones

A method for producing infra-red inert substrates, including molded polymeric articles, films, fibers and coatings and other organic and inorganic materials, by incorporating into the substrate or onto the surface of the substrate an effective amount of a dispersed bis-oxodihydroindolylen-benzodifuranone colorant. The thus obtained, also claimed substrates so produced are reflective and transparent to much of the near infra red radiation not reflected. There are multiple applications for cases of devices comprising electronic components, outdoor construction elements, outdoor furniture, automotive, marine or aerospace parts, laminates, artificial leather or textile materials, as well as in polychrome printing processes and optical fibers. The thus obtained substrates can also be subjected to laser welding. New bis-oxo-dihydroindolylen-benzodifuranone compounds are also claimed.
